Seriously considering an XDA-2. Are there black trim pieces available for this? It is smaller than the 2 RU trim pieces on the web-site. Conversely, can I acquire a new set of silver ones if I were to paint them and need to replace them?

Hi jdubs, You know you can just remove the trim peices if you just want it black. Then if you want to sell it later just put them back on. The only purpose they serve is decoration.

I'm considering painting mine also,
I don't think they have black trim for the xda's

Hi jdubs, You know you can just remove the trim peices if you just want it black. Then if you want to sell it later just put them back on. The only purpose they serve is decoration. Yeah, I did know that. I kinda like the look with the black trim pieces... and think it looks a little plain without any. Good advice, though. |

I would call Emotiva and see if they have any plans to start selling the 1 RU and 3 RU black trim pieces.
If enough people pester them about it maybe they will finally start to offer them.

You could always spray them with plasti dip black and if you want them back to original not that hard to remove.

They currently only have sizes 4RU amd 2RU. 4RU: Black Trim for XPA-1, XPA-2, XPA-3, XPA-5, UPA-5, and UPA-7. 2RU: Black Trim for UPA-1, UPA-2, UMC-1, ERC-2, and USP-1. Sold in pairs, black hardware included. shop.emotiva.com/collections/accessories/products/blacktrimSome members including I have posted requesting they also offer the black trim pieces in 3RU and 1RU. The 3RU will fit the new XMC-1 and the 1RU will fit both the XDA-1 and XDA-2. Some folks recommend removing the plates, period. That is fine for them but not for us who prefer the look we have with the black trim plates and included black hardware that we already have on our other Emo components so that they match. Emo has not, if I remember correctly, yet confirmed that they would offer these additional sizes. Please post here if you would like the 3RU and 1RU sizes or call them and voice your opinion.Jdubs, not sure if they have extra silver ones. However, some folks in the past have painted the silver ones a satin black with apparently good results. There was a thread on this long ago. I for only $20 wanted just to order them from Emo and did for both my XPA-5 and ERC-2. If and when I sell the components I can offer the buyer both colors. I vote for adding 1U and 3U black trim pieces. I will "require" them when I upgrade to the XMC-1 in the future.  C |

i would love to buy black trim for my xda-2 and xpa-2.
then they would match all my other equipment.
i have been holding off on buying the black trim for the xpa-2 because the xda-2 would be left out. i want everything to match.
