I am okay with refurb stuff from Emotiva (because it still has a 5 year warranty) but I was hoping for a few amps..... maybe some upa 5 or 7 stock or even a crack at the new pro line....

My thoughts exactly. However, a UPA-2 for $40 more than a a-100 was enough for me. Now a second zone in finally moving forward.

You have a point. I was hoping for a $200 XDA-1, but now that you mention it an additional blowout price on the UMC-1 might make me bite instead. I'm not certain if I'll benefit much from an XDA, but having owned a UMC-1 (sold it) I know what it's capable of with music. I'd pick another one up in a heartbeat purely for music and use it as a DAC if it had an additional price drop.

Well, I guess I was one of the lucky ones and in the minority here, but I really wanted 2 UPA-2's to add to my UPA-7 for an Audyssey DSX upgrade. Another $100 off was good for me. Can't beat the 5 year warranty. Take care.

If the Emo ordering system assigns order numbers sequentially, a lot of orders were placed.
If the last digit of the order number is a check digit, then maybe about 20-25 orders.
If it is truly sequential, 132 orders were placed in 10 minutes.

Outside the USA we cant use the order page so I just sent my order via email to Sarah...no confirmation yet tho... One ERD pair and a upa-2 to drive them....would have grabbed a upa5/7 if one was there tho, regret selling my 7 now...that one was a winner for sure.

It's wonderful to behold as long as you don't let the magic smoke out.

$499.00 for a UMC-1 IS a steal, especially when you are getting 40% off of the new XMC-1... and who knows what else???
