I'm kind of exited by my new rack. Previously I had my two channel system in a VERY cheap Walmart tv stand. The only draw back is I now can't use a 4 ru component any longer. I didn't think it would be a problem since I had just sold my XPA-2 and bought a pair of XPA-1L's. Then the problems with the 1L started. Now I'm not sure I made a great choice in racks. Couple pics with the temporary XPA-100's: ...

Nice rack! I love the 2RU amps: big enough to pack some juice, yet small enough to fit almost anywhere. I too modified my rack to accommodate the new 1L. However, my rack is modular so I just added another shelf. Until now, that shelf has been rather empty and lonely. In your case, the XPA-100s do look great and fit well. I think you made the right choice for the long run. The prototype 1L worked, so I have no doubt the production units will, too...with a bit more time. ;D

Hey sell me dem Guitars!!!Just pickin Bro , but they do look cool yep nice clean look Just google Miniature Guitars. Lots of places sell 'em, even eBay. These are replicas of famous guitars. From left to right they are: Willie Nelson, Brian May, Keith Richards, Eddie VanHalen, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Carlos Santana. whats that on top?Do I see tubes?a nice tube Pre-Amp?Now I hate ya ..lolo..really it looks great. Yeah, actually it's a pretty cheap Chinese tube preamp, sounds great though. It's the next thing to upgrade once I get this amplifier thing done. I'll be waiting a while to see what tube products Emotiva puts on the market. I'm in no big hurry, this one really does sound great. how you like them 100's?Whats your input on them?Think they sound on the "warm" side?Asking cause I have two UPA-1's and like them but doesn't the 100's have a bigger power supply and put out more watts at the rail? From what I know the 100's have a big bigger power supply with a bit lower capacitance. They're rated 50 watts more into both 4 and 8 ohms. Never heard the UPA-1's. Can't imagine there'd be much of a difference. ...

But, I gotta tell you I was concerned enough to look at other options last week. Consequently, I have a pair of Red Dragon Audio M500 mkII that should be here today. I'll compare them to the 1L's and 100's and keep the ones I like best. ...

Sounds like a plan. Good luck with the evaluation. May the best amps win!

Very nice looking rack. May I ask what brand? Or where you picked it up? OK. This is it: www.thesimpletvstandstore.com/p-1147-.aspxBe aware though- this is almost black. It takes the bright flash of a camera to bring out the brown in the "wood". Don't know if that makes a difference with you. ....

I got the same rack at Best Buy about a year ago. Only the silver part was black. The reason I got it was because the bottom rack was solid wood shelf. It also has the ability to have a 60 inch television mounted on it, which I did.

Don't know if that makes a difference with you. That's perfect, actually. My furniture in my room is very similar, looking almost black depending on the light.
