I just got my email saying I am on the original reservation list. I didnt even remember signing up for it . Must have been boozed up or something. So now I am torn. I had my mind set on the marantz 7005. Ugh. more decisions to make. It never ends.

The email is also a confirmation. I let them know that I was still interested and to let me know when they are ready. I am really looking forward to it.

My problem is I dont have an upgrade cert. and also I am unsure which is better the marantz or xmc. After the track record of the umc i worry. Not to mention I could care less about analog. So I may give up my spot. Any takers? lol

So, go buy a UMC-1 on clearance, sell it and keep the upgrade certificate.

Hi guys- I was asleep at the wheel the last four weeks working on my basement home theater build. Just heard the XMC podcast today, and ran through all the posts in this thread.
Wow; looks like a winner. I submitted my pre order today too (have my UMC upgrade certificate). Just have two comments.
1- a second HDMI out would be greatly appreciated by us older farts that no longer see that well. A 12-18 LCD monitor in close proximity to the equipment rack would negate the need to turn on the (planned) projector when fiddling around.
2- one post mentions the absence of HDMI pass through. Was that in the .pdf which is no longer up on the site?

For item 2, there is no mention in the .pdf of any sort of pass thru. I believe it came up in one of the posts that Lonnie replied to. But I'm not 100% sure about that. I'm hoping that someone that does "know" will chime in.
