 EmotivaPro (something new)
« Thread Started on May 9, 2012, 4:18pm »

So I own an XDA-1 and was considering the purchase of some EmotivaPro 4s to go with it. Then I see a lowing in price on the EmotivaPro line and talk of something new.

I thought I would ask the probably impossible to answer question in case anyone on the forum knows Emotiva well enough to throw out their thoughts.

Does anyone know, or can they project, what the "new" is going to be? Is Emotiva the type of company that talks about something new but it takes years for it to come to fruit? (I experienced this with Magnapan).

Finally, while I have you, has anyone used the 4s driven by the XDA-1? Did you like the combo?

Oh, and if the posts are read by Emotiva Corp. please think about a consumer flavor of the EmotivaPro line. Keep the active power but make them pretty and add some grills. :-)

Thanks, in advance, for any thoughts.

Listen to the last podcast and they talk about the new stealth speaker. I seem to recall an 8 inch woofer was mentioned.

Make them pretty and add some grilles?

They're already pretty, and look nice without the grilles -- I wouldn't want them covered. Check out the high res pictures on the website.

The tweeter is protected by a set of bars, if you're worried about damaging them.

I really want to see that special tweeter used in speakers like the Xref series.
