W0h00! What can i say? Just unpacked this bad boy some hours ago. Too bad it didnt fit my bottom section (where the playstation is located). Maybe it will fit without the rubber feet, leaving it with a hair of breathing room. Maybe too risky... Anyhow, i very much like this amp. Its so damn powerfull that im having a little difficulties adjusting the "preamps" volume. Couple millimeters and under 9 clock gives me already plenty of sound! My audio chain consists just an imac -> optical 96/24 to emu 0404 USB DAC, and analog TRS/RCA mono cables to the XPA-2 unbalanced inputs. Speakers are KEF Q900 stereo pair. Sensitivity 91dB I know its because too much input gain in my audio chain. I will fix it with attenuators in near future. Overall i very much like it! Its my first power amp in general. This was international order (to finland) and the shipment went fine and toke 8 days. Dont have time to ramble any more, but i will say this..now i know what they mean with "headroom". I noticed much bigger and fuller sound already with every music and movies. It sounds so efortless Youtube video: Thanks emotiva !

What a fantastic video!! I was literally in an ear-to-ear grin once the music started, and it only got bigger. I think that's how we all feel the first time we power up new audio gear, especially amplifiers. Rock on, bro!

That video was a great first post! Welcome! For volume control, the Emotiva xda-2 uses a good lossless analog volume control unlike most DACS which uses lossy digital volume controls. It also controls in 0.25 steps which gives you very fine control of the volume control. It may be a worthwhile step up from what you have.

Great video! Emotiva may pay you royalties-- a free T-shirt, or hat, or a set of cables.

Very nice! Congrats and welcome to the Lounge. Are you an F1 or rally fan? I'm a huge Mika Hakkinen fan and Kimi Raikkonen fan. You Fins can really drive!

Hi! You guys are so nice! Moro Porscheguy ! Yeah, its pretty winterish here, today was -21c and snowy. Nice to be inside and warm this new amp. Nice to see you writing some finnish I live in middle of Finland, town named Kuopio. poodleluvr: Royalties, i woudnt mind that at all! Pauly: Yeah i like F1. I was watching it more back when Mika Häkkinen was driving. Imho it has lost some of the appeal after that. Just listening to some classical, Gustav Holst - Mars, the Bringer of WarOh man, the dynamics!

Hi johto -
Thanks for the review and GIVE THAT AMPLIFIER PLENTY OF VENTILATION. Don't take the feet off - they're there for a reason.

Welcome!
Please be careful to let air flow from under to over the amp.
The XPA2 doesn't run that hot but it won't be good to have virtually no air.
After all, you want it to have a long life!
