But seriously, if you were not 216 miles from me we would be talking! I have a set of 850's and would have liked to "upgrade", but shipping/gas kills the deal for me. Absolutely killer deal for someone local though!

If they are from AV123, then they are not a true piano black, but are a "diamond black" or something to that effect. I was told when I asked that it was just a step below a true piano finish.

If your "freind" backed out of a deal he made with you, I suggest a better class of friends! a1uc probably needs another one...

Correct. And the reason why they did not do a true piano black was...COST because Shifty was always looking to cut corners when he could. The "diamond finish" is still pretty nice though..
