Stereo pack rat moving sale! REVISED 12/15/09 « Thread Started on Nov 13, 2009, 11:58pm »
REVISED 12/15/09 I’ve moved, and some of my A/V plans have changed with the new space. Some items have sold, some are no longer for sale, and the rest still need to go. I priced everything pretty sharply to begin with, but I am reducing prices further to make these deals as close to irresistible as possible. I will post each item individually with pictures & links, but I will also keep this list updated. Buy more stuff and save on shipping! PM me with questions and offers. I’d like payment by Paypal, no extra fees. I am also open to certain items in trade (see below). Shipping will be extra, unless we can arrange pick up or drop off in Southern California!

Man, lots of nice gear you've got for sale there . . .
I have dealt with Scott on numerous occasions on matters outside the forum and I can say with confidence he is one stand up guy and a straight shooter. I would not hesitate to do business with him. Very knowledgable guy
Home Theater: Power: XPA-2, XPA-3 Mains: Martin Logan Vista's Center: Martin Logan Matinee Rears: Mirage OmniSat V2's Subs: Martin Logan Depth PrePro: Yamaha RX-V663 (Soon to be UMC-1) CD Transport: ERC-1
Bedroom: Power: Dynaco ST-120 Pre/pro: Bottlehead Foreplay III Tubes: 3X Telefunken + 2X Mullard 12AU7, 4X Genalex Gold Lion KT88 Source: Squeezebox Duo Mains: 2X B&W 601 S2 Sub: ML Dynamo
What you need to do is pick up that ML Dynamo sub for $345.
hah! I knew you were going to tell me that! I've already started researching in to it . . is that the same one you have with your tube set up? That was one sweet sounding sub, sealed enclosure if I recall . .

Scott, sorry to see you let the AV8003 go, that is a sweet piece.
As for anyone looking to purchase any of the items here, I've known Scott for over a decade personally and can tell you he is one of the most stand up, straight shooting guys I've ever known.

Yeah... That's the one I had hooked up to the tube amp.
I know Mike had eluded to the fact that it might not be big/powerful enough for your room but... I have to disagree... The other day I had the tube system playing at about 90db and no matter where I went in the house that little sub could be heard and felt, even in the garage.
Don't let physical size and amp ratings fool you. That sub has a very high excursion 10" super rigid aluminum cone driver and thumps super hard with minimal effort.
$345 for a sub that will spank many subs that are more than twice it's price? Sounds like a killer bargain to me.

Samsung 50'' plasma LMC-1 soon to be UMC-1, USP-1, XPA-5, ERC-1, Oppo DV-980H, Playstation 3 Emotiva 8.3LR, 6.3C, ERD-1 surrounds. Mac Book Pro running XBMC & Squeezebox 3. Belkin AV PF60
go for it . .. you will not be dissapointed. I heard this sub in oneliterpeter's tube set up and could not beleive the phenomenal tight bass that was eminating from it. The power of the bass belies its size. An elegant monster of a small foot print sub. Sealed design.
can't beleive the Marantz AV 8003 is still here . . that's a good price for a well taken cared for unit
I imagine it's because everyone's imagination here is all fired up about the UMC-1 & XMC-1.
What I know is that, on paper, the Marantz outclasses the UMC-1, and it does sound remarkably good. It's balanced audio section and networked audio capabilities put it into the same rough league as the XMC-1, although the lack of detailed specifications make such comparisons difficult. With the XMC-1 delayed until the middle of next year, I feel like the Marantz has no real sound quality competitors near its price.
