Today I purchased my first Emotiva equipment. I ordered an UMC-1 because I wouldn't want to wait longer for a XMC-1 with TACT.

Hopefully will the SQ be somewhat on par with my Arcam AVR350...
For my other AV-equipment see my signature.

Here are two pictures of a small part of my living room where the A/V equipment is located. You mainly see 4* XTZ99.38 MkII as front and back speakers, 1* XTZ99.36 MkII as center speaker and a Philips LCD TV.

The BK Monolith sub-woofer is located on the second picture in the right bottom corner under the fern.

Can anybody tell me who long it usually takes to ship via Fedex Economy to the Netherlands?

Great looking room, and really nice looking speakers. You took the full range approach, except for the center, which I don't see very often. Welcome to the Lounge, come on in an join the rest of us Emotiva addicts! :)

I don't see much value in buying smaller surround speakers for the back if they need to be placed on a stand. Imho you better can use the space occupied by the stand with "loudspeaker".
The center is a 99.36 MkII, which the seller for Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg never had sold as a center speaker, is still a reasonable speaker. ;D He needed to contact XTZ to ask if they sold these separately and not as pair.. I couldn't use a 99.38 because this one has the woofer on the side of the speaker. The 99.36 has a smaller woofer on the front.

As long as it's great with voices and timbre matches the fronts(which it does) then I would think your front stage sounds great. If I had the room for full range surrounds I'd do it, but my room doesn't lend itself well for that. Again I really like the modern look of your room.

A great looking room and set-up - welcome aboard!

...one suggestion though that would probably get you even better sound:
Pull that center speaker forward so there's no flat/hard areas right in front (you're getting 'sound bounce' otherwise!). In other words, pull it all the way forward so the face of the speaker is even with the face of the cabinet edge. The front left & rights might benefit if brought forward a little bit too.

Again - welcome! :D

+1. Also anything between you and the speaker would interfere with the soundstage like the cofffee table and the thing on the side wall. Maybe move the entire set up a few inches over so it doesn't interact as much. Pulling the speakers away from the front walls will also help with the sound. Sorry if this sounds critical, it's not meant to be. :) :) :) Welcome to Emotiva!

Thanks for the advice but I'm already aware of this. I took the picture of the room immediately after I installed everything. In the current setup speakers are 15 cm from the back wall. More I can't do because I need also to respect the wishes of the other members of the family (esp. my wife). I'm already happy she allows 4 rather big speakers in the living room. The wifes of a lot of my friends wouldn't allow this.....

I'm still dreaming to dig a basement in the garden and build a special Home Theater.

Ah yes, the well know "WAF".
Yes, you're wise to obey the confines of her already generous allowances!

Mrs. Mad Norseman is quite accommodating (surprisingly so some times!), to my HT hobby, so I can't complain too much. My set-up also incorporates some compromises to keep the domestic peace!
But on balance, I'm VERY lucky she allows what she does!
And I'm also lucky that she too immensely enjoys our "movie night" once a week, so maybe that's where her cooperation comes from? ;)
