We can shoot whatever kind of targets we want at our range we go to. We take a variety of things out there depending on what we're doing. It has an indoor range and an outdoor.

One of my favorite things to shoot is milk jugs filled with water. Its awesome to see them explode when you hit them with a high power or 3 inch mag deer slugs
With the 9 I like to shoot full pop cans shaken up. Setting out clays isn't too bad either.
How many of you were able to go home and pop off a few rounds from your driveway though? (Sorry, it's my first place with lots of land)
When I got the P226 my wife laid claim to the Glock 17. Funny though, when we went to the range, she wanted to fire off a few rounds with the Sig. I made her promise that she wouldn't get to attached. Well 30 rounds later, you got, she was attached.
Glock 17 and SigSauer P226. Two extremely accurate out of the box pistols. I've shot many a handgun, and these 2 manufacturers are well suited to my hands.
I also have the sig p226 in 9mm & like you said, very accurate. I also have a sig p232 in two-tone. Beautiful gun and also very accurate. Love the sigs.
A friend of mine recently bought a new kimber ultra carry and he wanted to clean it before we went to the range. Took both of us about 45 min to figure out how to tear it down (don't bash until you've tried it for the first time, it's a chinese puzzle). The sigs take about 30 secs.

I spent my UMC-1 money on a DPMS Sportical AR-15. I've also got a S&W 9mm, Remington 870 Express 12ga, Winchester Model 94 30-30 Lever action, and a Ruger 10-22.
I'm refilling my piggy-bank for the UMC now.
I did buy a cheap (BSA) red dot for the AR, so I might have to tap into the UMC fund again for a decent optic.
My Gear (Update 1/10/11); Samsung HLT 6187s, UMC-1, LPA-1, ERM-1s Front, and Center, ERDs Surround and an Ultra-12 for Sub. Dish ViP722, Toshiba HD-A3, LG BD 370, Oppo DV 980H, XBOX 360, Custom made Entertainment Center.

Mine is a .40 S&W, and yes I had a fun time too the first time I cleaned it. Tearing it down was time consuming. The Glock on the other hand has to be the easiest and fastest to tear down.

Well I guess everything's better in Dougieland!
Kind of sounds like an attack.... Maybe I've said to much and should stop talking?

I fired enough M-16's and AK's in Nam that I don't have any interest in that type of fire power.
However, I did own three S&W's handguns. I finally sold my two 357's, a 686 4" and a 640 snub nose hammerless. Both were quite heavy and not the greatest for concealed carry.
I still have my little S&W 442 blued air-weight snub nose hammerless. It is a 38 and I use Federal Nyclad +P's strictly for concealed carry. It is very light weight and hard to see in the blued finish. Eventually it will go to my wife with probably a standard 38 round for home defense and I'll trade up to one of the newer Scandium Alloy/Titanium/Stainless Steel model 340 series.
I don't do any range shooting so these ultra lightweight "knock the crap out of your palm when you fire them models" is fine for self-defense. I like the instinctive operation of a revolver for anytime defensive use.
I am becoming more and more attached to my Emotiva XPA-5 and swear they will have to pry it from my cold dead hands!
