You're welcome. Of course, on the subject of Pre/Pro forum stickies, they could pretty much just sticky the Emonatics site at this point and it would cover almost everything there, including what's now missing.

How timely? Well, right now, there is no way for a user to know how to calibrate their UMC-1 so that Dolby Volume works correctly....in fact, most users probably find that if they try dolby volume it distorts their sound. The sticky which should have helped users (which I wrote and LC posted as a sticky) has disappeared. So I'd say the timing is somewhere between pretty good and way way overdue. A video is better than nothing...in fact anything is better than nothing. On a personal note, it's frustrating to write something that would help all users (how to calibrate a UMC-1 for Dolby Volume), have it accepted and posted as a sticky so it was there to help...and then find that it was deleted. It seems that those of us who would like to help others can't even do it here in the forums. If I was a conspiracy theorist, I'd say that from a user's perspective, Emotiva is committed to making sure that users can't optimize the UMC-1 ..... (but that's my frustration talking). Well I can say with all honesty that I have no idea what happened to the thread. All I know is I didn't do anything.

Bill thank you.... Psbman....I think LCSeminole got carried away on his prune....but it's still frustrating. I did do a lot of deleting of off-topic postings in several of the long-winded threads, and I did un-sticky several threads that hadn't been posted in for at least a month but I don't recall deleting a complete thread, if I did my apologies to ghstudio. I did try for a couple of hours to find the thread in question using the search function, but as many here have experienced it's quite inept at doing just that. With ghstudio's permission and if Bill doesn't mind I'll copy the portion of the Dolby Volume Calibration Procedure that was previously here and re-sticky.

My goodness reading through all the latest post you would think that you just can't please people these days. ;D Lonnie, No disrespect but is having an up to date manual for the UMC-1 too much to ask for? A well written up to date manual is as basic as it gets in terms of owning a component such as the UMC-1. I just don't see the humor as when I owned the UMC-1 it was very frustrating to setup as the manual was not very helpful. Bill

It's a benefit to all, regardless of where it's stated.

I completely re-wrote 32 pages of it and he is taking it from there. Not sure where he is on this, but I know he has been busy working on it. There is just a lot of information to cover.

Lonnie,
Sounds good, especially for the five of us that will actually Read The Manual.

I'm sure many UMC-1 owners are looking forward to an improved and up to date manual. Bill

Preserved: emonatics.com/UMC-1DV.shtmlIt's frustrating to read, too...I was actually halfway through the other thread on the sub delay issue, had even posted in it, and it disappeared...and LCSeminole said not his doing...frankly, I didn't see anything wrong with it, though I was reading backwards from the end. I also wanted to comment on Bill's sig...LOL..."macrodynamic slam" - classic. Reading that sig, it's like a veil has been lifted... ;D
