If I could find one of those crazy Denon AVPs for a decent price, that would be compelling.

quite rare on the used market.
They still demand a premium both used and new.

| | Pre-out voltage on Integra « Reply #83 on Nov 7, 2009, 1:04pm » | |
Just got off the phone with Integra Cust Support. Yes, they did pick up the phone on Saturday! I confirmed with them that the pre-out voltage on ALL of their pre-amps is 1.0 v FIXED. I really need a processor that gives me a phono input, 7.2 and 2.1 for zone 2 with proper pre-out voltage. Any thoughts out there?

I bought an outlaw processor and thought it sounded great but there is no way I am paying that much more. I really wouldnt imagine it sounding any better but some people like to stick with certain brands plus I think the UMC looks great, that is what I like about Emotiva's stuff they have some great style to them

Not only does Emotiva have great looks for their products, they sound great, perform great and have great customer service. I've never owned an Outlaw product before and I'm sure they have a great sounding, performing product as well as customer service but the looks on there products are quite simply BUTT UGLY, not to mention their MSRP is higher on comparable products.

Yeah it wasnt the greatest looking thing but still better than most AV receivers. It really is nice to have the whole package, quality, service and style!

What? You mean to tell me they just yanked the amps out of a receiver and didn't upgrade the preamp outs?

I also checked with Integra today. The pre-out voltage is 1v on the DHC 40.1. Do we know what the pre-0ut voltage is on the UMC-1? Not even sure if it makes that big a difference. I've had my Onkyo 806 paired with my XPA-5 and get plenty of volumne.
