Hey Porscheguy, If you want a cheap sub here is one that a customer brought in for repair today...He was using it for HT  I'll sell it to you for a good price    It doesn't match my doilies in the den.......  At least if you have to ship this anywhere, all the taping is done for you. Just slap on the address sticker and send it. |

Well I will contribute to this conversation that I just ordered a Rythmik F15 subwoofer to demo vs my dual Strata IIIs. I will be curious to see what the F15 can do and if it does it job well I will order another one for stereo subs. I also picked up a couple of Subdude HDs so it will be interesting to see how that helps or doesn't help the downfiring Rels.

I have not ruled out Rhythmik subs, but I'm getting very frustrated that I cannot get any veneer samples from Brians cabinet maker. I've been asking for at least a month now and I'm about ready to give up. All these delays are totally frustating.........

I'm trying to get some oak veneer samples, but the cabinet guy Hank doesn't have them, he's trying to get them from the veneer manufacturer who claims he sent them to me and Hank - neither one of us has seen anything........been over a month....... I called SVS, in three days I had 5-6 chips to look at..... Good luck with Rosenut  |

Hmmmm, too bad. I'm still willing to get a Rythmik, but I sure would like it in rosenut like the SVS. That PB13 is pretty.

Concerning veneers, if you know any good cabinet guys, they will add the veneers and frankly probably do it cheaper than buying the veneers from Rythmik. I am talking super easy for these guys to do it. You have to remember that Brian makes about 200 per sub if he is lucky. Going to the veneer store, picking up some stuff and shipping basically closes the loop on his profit. BTW, I just ordered my Rythmik, F15 with 600. (personally I think they should call it a F16 ).Thank you Ntrain42. Your information was quit helpful. I love your passion and what an offer. I have to say Porsche Guy, I personally would rather have sealed over ported any day and loose the couple of DB and a little at the bottom. You can always add subs or watts, you can not improve sound quality. (BTW a side note: It cracks me up that most people spin their wheels with trying to determine the best this or the best that for sound quality but neglect the easiest, cheapest way to improve sound, treatments.) One last thing, my preference is to buy from a small company rather than a big company, on pure principle. Frankly I see Brian's two person shop (with his wife) as a competitive advantage. And if anything thing were to happen to his business be assured he would provide his users with the support they need for their equipment. I like to support people that are willing to innovate and then stick it all on the line for what they have created. BTW porscheguy, nice car! I have C4s cab. I got it a month ago. What an experience. Good luck with your decision. Personally I would take Ntrain's offer. Free tuning and setup. Wow! A second set of ears is also good. |

Hehe, with the 15" Rythmik driver you dont lose any low frequency extension at all. One single sub will give you real useable extension to just under 15hz. |

I hope the Rythmik works well for you, I look forward to your comments. Another issue I have with Rythmik is there is no independent testing or reviews of these subs. None. Zip. Natta. Only Ntrain's perceptions, and while it might be good enough for you, its not good enough for me. Ntrain is the first one to demand independent, proper testing of a product - unless he's a fanboy of something. Then it doesn't matter. Testing means nothing just go buy it 'cause he said so. Not me. And no, I'll pass on his offer because I don't believe him. And I want to be clear, I'm not flaming him. He just has his own set of rules sometimes and many people follow his advice like lambs to the slaughter. Why? And thank you for the kind comments about my car  ......
