I am planning of purchasing 2 XPA-1 for my front speakers. My audio rack is about 15 feet away from my Right speakers and 4 feet from my left speakers. The plan is to install XPA-1 (1) foot from each speaker. My system consist of LMC-1 and XPA-5 ERC-1 and soon a preamp with balance input. I rarely watch movies most for CD listening. My questions are ... 1.) Will a pair of long 20ft balance cable degrade a sound quality? I am using a 20ft speaker cable for my Martin Logan by installing the XPA-1 close to speaker I can use a shorter and better speaker cable . 2.) Will the new XSP-1 Preamp coming soon work with my LMC-1 using bypass mode? Tone Control (bass and treble) new XSP-1?
Please advice
Thanks in advance!

The balanced cables (XLR) come from the pro audio world where these are used to connect to powered speakers mostly. So long runs without sound degradation is exactly the forte of balanced cables! So rest assured. Bypass mode from XSP-1 works with any AVR/SSP I have no info on tone control
