As Henry Ford is famous for saying, "You can buy a Ford automobile painted any color you desire -- as long as it is BLACK." ;D

Hello everyone, My name is Micah Warren and I own Large Media. I am the publicist for Anthony Gallo Acoustics. I saw the rumor that Anthony is tweaking the Reference 3.5 and should have a revised version out at some point. I rarely post on the forums, but that rumor is something I have to address. I even called Anthony just to clarify that this is absolutely not the case, and it isn't. The 3.5 is done and he is not working it on it anymore at all. Believe me, if Anthony was really working on an update, I promise I wouldn't come on the forums and say it's not true. That would only make me look bad when a new version of the speaker came out in a couple months. Just fyi, a good place to get information on Anthony Gallo Acoustics is on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/AnthonyGalloAcoustics. Thanks to all you supporting Gallo! We really do appreciate it!

All comes down to what kind of sound you like.
Also finding them on the used market is nice as well.
Wilson Sophia's Wilson Watt/Puppies 7's Paradigm S8 V3 Martin Logan Summits, or Summit X's (used of course) B&W several different models but the 802D I think can be found under 10K used easily Maggies of course

That is very interesting, thank you for the reply and I stand corrected! PLUS now I have a reason to call my friend in New York and correct him, which is always fun to do.

I just completed auditioning a set of Salk Sound HT3 speakers and they were unbelievable. I would recommend contacting Jim Salk to see if there is anybody close to you that would let you audition them it will be worth your time.

I would recommend contacting Jim Salk to see if there is anybody close to you that would let you audition them it will be worth your time. Salk makes excellent speakers. I have the SongTowers, SongCenter and SongSurround IIs myself. The Salk speakers can be built with all sorts of custom modifications including the caps for the crossover, the fill material, veneers and finishes, etc... One of the customers did not like the shape of the HT3, so Jim Salk made a custom modified enclosure to remove the taper. There is a new speaker called the SoundScape I think that may be close to that price range. Doug

If I had 10 grand to blow it would be on a set of these. I would still have enough money left over for a used mc205.

Actually that set is a little more expensive due to the wood veneer. Usually the speaks come in just black. They are custom or a special order. Depending on what mid driver you go with they produce around 105-107 db with one watt! Check these out. Over 10 feet tall and 413lbs. The woofers look small, but they are 15's

Cool! That's not a bad price (MSRP), and I bet you can get them for a much better price from a good dealer. * I wonder if you can find these at Audiogon? We are still within the reach of our OP. ...And now by suggesting them, I became the prisoner of my own suggestion! ...I just luv them! Anyone that can spare me few bucks? ...I'd like to Kiss the Sky! P.S. Thanks for the review's link!
