That was my question. What is the use of even discussing the matter if he does not have speakers?
I started with the UPA-7 and then upgraded the speakers. I am using my Yamaha for the pre/pro until the XMC-1 is out. I have been saving for almost a year and now have the money to afford it. I am kind of glad that it did not come out earlier as it will be a new product when it is available.

Second hand bargains are the best way to stretch your buying capital. That and going to Emofest!

My Lexicon DC2 packed a sad so purchased the UMC-1 as a replacement till the XMC-1 comes out. Now my Parasound 20 year old 5 channel amp has also packed a sad, so am considering the XPA-5 for the front and side channels as I use a 2 channel amp for the rears. Love the reports on the XPA-5 because of the sound clarity and impact that users report. Love to go to emofest to learn and pick up bargains, but the cost of getting there from New Zealand is a little excessive. But I will be there in spirit if not in sole. Really looking forward to the XMC-1 which I hope will be on display at emofest.
Guys don't pick on my mate from the west Island (Oz) they get a bit upset particularly when we beet them in sport. Being the little brother we don't expect to win all the time but we seam to punch above our weight.

I posted this in another thread, but it relevant to Ausman's plight - anyone in Australia that is looking for cheap, reliable and good quality gear should register and purchase from Stereonet and the DTV forums. It is as simple as that. I am a grad student on scholarship and have pieced together the systems in my sig over the last three years using those sites as an integral part of the journey.

unless I'm blind, the XMC-1 specs thread is locked so I can't post in there, and I did not want to start a new thread JUST to ask this... has the connectors on the back changed since the 1st post in the 'XMC-1 specs' thread, where it has dual hdmi outputs ? or is dual hdmi outputs still the plan ?

The last word was a single HDMI out but that could have changed yet again. We will have to wait for the release I suspect before we will know for sure. Dave.

I going from memory, and many times what is, and what might be gets blurred. Therefore, I yield to your knowledge on the subject.

This thread is still relevant so I'm posting here to get it going again.
Hopefully Emo can shed some light soon.
Dave.
