I really enjoyed (and became somewhat hot) as I watched every breath she took while singing this song. Simply breathtaking! Jaclyn McSpadden

WOW!There is some damm fine music on this thread, especially recently (plus duplication ). How am I suppose to get all the Christmas decorations and lights up before Noriko returns from Japan on Tuesday. Also some very fine football games the last several days, Auburn/Alabama, Ravens/49ers, Texans/Pats, that's not all! Great sounds in the other music threads too. Not enough time. Thanks for the good tunes!

Our hometown guy. This is the Stevie I knew & remember. Mr Magic Fingers, always clean & smooth. (& off the drugs) I was lucky to see him live at Purdue. I swear it was in '82, but records show it was '85. Anyway, it was a small theater and a great show. Mark

Great concert. They wore my ears out.

Manchester Orchestra -The Silence
I try not to repeat things but...just damn. I have been sick and not paying attention to much, even music. Tonight I need tunes but on the more mellow side, not ready to head bang just yet. This was rocking my boat.

On occasion I hear something new that just moves my soul and those are truly treasured moments. Darryl

Temporarily set-up my TT and spun-up a little vinyl last night - enjoyed "Side A" from each:

I was lucky to see him live at Purdue. I swear it was in '82, but records show it was '85. Anyway, it was a small theater and a great show. Mark I saw him live at the Charleston Municipal Auditorium which is also a small venue. Great concert. They wore my ears out. I use to follow Fabulous T-Birds (Jimmie Lee Vaughan) and "Little Stevie" would show up at their gigs often (mid '70s) sometimes join in. Then he started jamming with other bands around town & got a reputation as someone who could play Hendrix like no one else in town. Was at Mother Blues one night to see a band and during their break, Stevie plugged in and did a hour Hendrix compilation solo (song-to-song-to song) Some guy from the audience joined him on drums. Everyone, including the feature band, were just amazed what we were hearing. Stevie was tripping his brains out (stoned) but playing like I had never heard before. It was one of the best solos I've ever heard in my life. His clothes & hat were soaking wet with sweat, he put everything he had into playing. Then he put Double Trouble together and had local Blues singer Lou Ann Barton in the band- That woman is fabulous, went solo, but they were really good together. Stevie later played with Bonnie Raitt in Austin a lot, WOW, want to hear Blues duets, words can't describe some of those shows. They had fun together. I use to hang with an Eagles copy band that were friends with The Stratoblasters (had 4 Stratocaster guitarist), the drummer went to school with Stevie and how I got to know him. What you see is who Stevie was, not pretentious, down to earth, friendly, fun and if you loved Blues; he could talk about all the greats, why they were great and how they played. When it came to playing the guitar, Stevie was a sponge. Stevie & Lonnie Mack were good friends and he learned alot from Mack. Yes, you were one of the greatest ever, RIP Stevie.
