Kristin Hersh - Spark Meets Gasoline -Not released but FLACs can be downloaded This is a perennial favorite artist of mine. The album art will take you to a sample site where you can download the FLACS for no charge. There are some really great songs on this so far. Hemingway, runaway, day3, wonderland are some notables from me. Okay friends, favor of reply is asked of me. I have been a solid fan of her work for so many years. Will you try out Runaway and Day 3, and some others and let me know what you think. She is a multi-instrumentalist and for the life of me I do not know why she is not more widely known. Thanks so Much!

You Will Know Us By The Trail of The Dead - Worlds Apart - 2005 Many good albums by this band and this is one of them. I painted my garage floor while this was wailing at high volume and was done before I knew it.

My favorite jam by the Grateful Dead is this rendition from 1972 of Morning Dew especially when the clock strikes 11:00.

Patrick O'Hearn - Eldorado - 1989 My moods are shifting a bit and while I have many of Patricks works this one all ways does it for me. If you have not ventured here before I do recommend it as this is a nice contemporary release with some ancient sounding ambiance and nice percussive work. I wish he made more like this one and this one is near perfect.

The Boxer Rebellion - The Cold Still - 2011 Playing this on Sir Mog and this is a very good album with nice vocals, composition and execution of the material. The vocalist has the talent for falsetto but uses it sparingly in the chorus and I wish others would do so as it can be so over used but not here. The Youtube clip "Caught by the Light" has a falsetto in the chorus and a haunting piano melody in the end as the guitars build a bit of a cresendo. Bands like this get my attention as there is enough complexity in the composition to hold my interests and the melodies are very nice. I like every song on the disk but this is a sample. Spin Again and Again such a great piece of work.

Bedhead - Transaction De Novo - 1998 This band belongs to the rock genre Slowcore, where the notes linger with full transient decay. For some of you, you may want to slap em upside the head and say "wake up and say stop sucking around and play" but it is what it is and that is different. I am also playing this on www.mog.comThis is one of the more up-tempo songs. And one more for prosperity sake .... A band I like very much but nowhere near mainstream. I dew like it!
