Ok..that does it..I need to rip the remastered ones to my computer so my Duet streamer can play them. I bought all 14 remastered ones when they came out in august, and have never even opened them yet. Now I need to do that. I well remember the day my son said to me,"So, Paul was in a band before Wings ?" hah! ;D

if any of you like the singer/songwriter/acoustic guitar type of music, I just got this David Wilcox CD and have been enjoying it immensely for the last week. It sounds great on a good audio system. It was recorded live so you have the hall and crowd ambiance in the mix. great choice

David Wilcox is great. I think I have all of his CD's. That live one that I just found at Barnes and Noble a week ago is my favorite though. The sound quality of the recording is outstanding and the music along with his interaction with the crowd is compelling. He talks to the crowd before every song and explains where it came from.

I just got the 1999 digital remaster and by golly I am a happy guy! All my Bowie material is now part of the remastered works. Okay, I have always had a penchant for this disk and the Robert Fripp guitar work is a particular highlight, strong composition and great vocal inflections! It's no game, Teenage Wildlife knock my socks off but I like the entire disk. I also appreciate that this remaster is not junked up with add-on tunes that take away from the artists original release. If they do that I prefer a second disk like pavement does. roo rating: A

This is the sophomore release from a Canadian band called Jets Overhead. The debut was a mini and the follow-up to this was not near as strong as this little ditty. It is straight ahead guitar tunes with some nice composition and supporting background female vocals from the bass player. I do recommend this one especially some of the spatial guitar work that lets the reverb and other effects linger a bit with the transient decays which sounds cool! roo rating: B+

It is an affliction that is as long as time itself with many documented stories such as Candide by Voltaire. I also however do not think that this is the best forum for these views. This is really an escape forum where we can focus on more simple matters such as the joy of music and the equipment that makes it better today than ever before. I think you should start your own blog where you can share your views without prejudice. Here is a free site that you could consider as I do not want to see you get anymore emo penalties! ;D www.blogger.com/startTake care and Happy Thanksgiving! Clearly my most favorite holiday!

Artik: Internet forums are private communications systems owned and operated by private individuals or companies. As such, they can establish any rules they choose, and you agree to abide by them when you sign up for an account. The Government and the First Amendment have nothing to do with private Internet forum use. Your tirade is completely misplaced.

Yes, freedom should include the right not to be suffocated by others trying to impose their views upon other people.

A great Christmas album. I got the Deluxe Edition that includes CD and DVD, both very nice. OK, so we don't watch the dance and singing competition on TV. However, like everyone on the planet we saw the tape of Susan Boyle on the news. There was so much applause it was difficult to clearly hear her voice. Recently I was putting around You Tube and saw a video listed of Susan singing, of all things, Wild Horses from the Rolling Stones. I thought to myself, this just doesn't sound like a match made in heaven. I hit play.....boy. was I in for a shock, what an excellent rendition. So I ordered the CD. All one has to do is listen to Susan's version of Cry Me A River, wow! Susan Boyle is the real thing, a very talented and natural singer. The accompaniment was a little heavy handed at times, but overall a super first album.

Yes, freedom should include the right not to be suffocated by others trying to impose their views upon other people. Freedom of speech is such a double sided coin eh? Person 'A' always has the right to voice their opinion in so many forms. But wait... Person 'B' always has the same right to tell person 'A' how foolish they are for saying such things! Works both ways. Sorry, now back to the music... Widespread Panic's album 'Don't tell the band' One of my favorite jam bands that has never been afraid of bearing both the light and dark side of their music. No fairy tail hippie tunes, just great songs with serious musicianship. Here is a couple of clips with the first being one of my favorite songs they have done. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sxQ33N2qbwwww.youtube.com/watch?v=0H38agKc6wA

There are not that many albums that I have experienced where I can say I know where I was when I first heard it. I was in 5th grade walked into a friends home where some were playing pool and this was on the turntable. I walked over to see what it was and will never forget it! I just got the stereo remaster yesterday. I think I would prefer to have the mono collection in total though. A mellower beck with much string arrangements. I like Beck and find his works to be very versatile. Some of the string arrangements on this disk have a beatlesque quality to them. roo rating: A
