Waking up to snow and dreading the car cleaning ritual before I leave the house. Listening to some Dina Krall to mellow out.

This internet radio station has been around a while since 1997 and run by a husband and wife team with a few friends too and is one of my favorite sources for new music. I like the indie channel! I am spinning this tonight as I do other things. I have the graphic hyperlinked to their site where they offer 3 stations with Indie, 80/90's obscure, classic rock fairly obscure! Once you click the graphic it will start piping music so be careful if you do this from work! ;D

I have posted this album before but not any singles. This was Split Enz at their creative peak in the mid '70's in my view. Way way out there with complicated music and all instruments played by band members. Phil Judd is one of my musical heroes and he wrote, sang, played mandolin on this one!
Here is another tune from "Second Thoughts" that also has Phil Judd on vocals, composer and guitar. Tim Finn on Piano!
So I have tried to share this album with friends and geesh! I seem to be a lone fan of this album. Let me know if anyone else out there appreciates this!

Well hell ain't done yet! While I hope that Tommy Bolin is someone that you know....just in case I will make mine...buy it. This is such timeless music and it is so really good! Okay, yes when I was a teenager this was in my normal rotation and I did lose touch with it but it should not be forgotten so please help me here!
Tommy Bolin too is no longer with us but his Teaser album is simply fantastic. I have or had this on Vinyl! Great stuff! I really recommend this and it is also 70's vintage!
The song People People features David Sanborn on Sax and it rocks!
I really recommend for those that like guitar led music with good everything that you collect this one!

Before the name prog rock we used to call this Theatrical, Symphonic, Art or Concept rock. Genesis, Nektar, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Yes "Tales from Topographic Oceans", Renaissance and others in that genre. Here is some prog that I think merits remembering This is an oldie from Nektar and Yes from Tales .....a double album so this is a snippet Pink Floyd from Atom Heart Mothers with a nice gilmour lead at the end. Fat Old Sun by David Gilmour If by Roger Waters Summer 68 by Wright Renaissance with their Symphonic work Scheherezade featuring the most beautiful voice and body of Annie Haslam who used to give me chills in my youth! This is really beautiful music in my view and Definitely Symphonic Rock! Early 70's vintage! This is a musical journey and if you have not ventured here before I do recommend it! I do not know of any current bands that write this type of composition where influences of Rimsky and prokofiev are evident! Please let me know otherwise! This is the first song from the album and it takes almost 4 minutes before Annie begins to serenade you! Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Okay, I go home in the morning and will give you all a break from my you tube stuff but do hope someone might enjoy something new where old may be new again! I do not get much feedback on this so I do not know if it is helpful for you or bothersome. Let me know as I do not mind keeping it to myself but also do not mind sharing! Have a good weekend!

One of the few rock groups that I enjoy listening to is Rainbow. Their album, "Rising" is amazing. All the numbers are very nice but I especially like "Stargazer". Their arrangements are quite unique.

Rush remaster CD's...a bit of Farewell to Kings, Fly by Night, "RUSH", and Hemispheres. Loving Bytor and the Snowdog, Working Man, and Jacob's Ladder! It's been such a long time (wait a minute...need to go listen to some Boston now!)
