Just updated my setup in my ManCave... Here's the "before" picture... Here's the after...I moved the 3 Sonos units out to reduce clutter in the stand - in hopes of eventually cleaning up the wiring behind it...which is a rat's nest! That's the next project... And - I moved the Sonos Connect and 1 of the Sonos Amps to a tiny stand off to the right. Now, the Sonos Connect runs out through my old Rotel RB980 to provide more power to the pool speakers! More rocking out while floating in the pool! This allowed me to eliminate 5 cables from behind the main stand, as well as the 3 Sonos units and their power lines. The end result is that, thanks to this and what I did for my headphone system - I freed up 2 Sonos units to sell (1 Sonos Connect and 1 Sonos Connect Amp). Watch the Emporium for an ad soon. Mark

My latest system... The whole system from my seating area: My stand. In the center you can see my Geek DAC and just to its right - the new ultraRendu and Small Green Computer linear power supply (complete with blue lights!): And the tubey glow of some KT-88's in my Prima Luna tube amp: Just finished a very nice listening session. This is the basement living room. The home theater PC looks a lot more overkill than it really is - I wanted a rack mount case that had a solid front to it, and that one was about half off from B&H Photo. Actually, pretty much everything in here except for the stand itself I either bought used or on sale. There's also an Apple TV 4K hidden inside. Everything runs in 4K HDR, and I hate the way the LG TV handles HDR. It's going away as soon as I can find someone to sell it to. The setup is: Two Middle Atlantic PD-915R power strips (Both of them came from eBay, although I could kick myself for not making sure the front panels were matching when I bought the second one.) Emotiva XDA-1 (Fun fact, this is the piece of electronics I've owned the longest. Bought it on sale right before the XDA-2 came out.) Emotiva ERC-3 Gen 2 (Literally got this today, another one from eBay. Didn't look like the previous owner ever used it.) Because of the way the Emotiva rack mounts kind of reach underneath the unit, I couldn't actually fit my next piece of gear right underneath the ERC-3. I think I'm going to get a 1U plain piece of aluminum to cover that up. Might give the PC a little more room to breath, too. (Can't get the top of the case on, the side mount for the power to the graphics card sticks out to much. But airflow, amiright? Custom built computer (Audio and video storage, does some 4K gaming with a GTX 1080.) Xbox One S (I'd like to get a One X, but I'm cheap.) (Edit: Totally bought the Middle Atlantic rack from eBay, and while it's close enough to work, that isn't custom cut for an Xbox. I'm cheap, and I think I'll wait until I get a One X to get a real faceplate.) Marantz Professional PMD-501 (This isn't actually hooked up - there's no analog inputs in this setup - but putting it there keeps it out of the way for now, and keeps the cat from trying to climb in.) Also: Apple Airport Extreme Router (Hooray, everything has gigabit ethernet inside!) Apple TV 4K 32GB hidden inside Apple TV Remote (Sits on an iPhone 5C phone stand, was $5 on eBay, makes it look so much fancier.) Dyson AM06 (Not really worth it, but it's fancy looking and was $50 off when I bought it.) The studio cart came from Guitar Center, and I don't see it on their site anymore. I was originally thinking about going full on traveling rack gear, but I liked the look of this. Also, it was about $100, and "audiophile furniture" is too expensive. And for the speakers, M-Audio BX-8 D2s. I've been stereo for so long, I'd love to go back to surround, but I just don't have the space (the rear speakers would pretty much be two inches from where our heads rest on the couch), or the money for an XMC. They're not the most clinical of mixing monitors, but they're the best home theater speakers I could ask for without spending at least 10 times more. And other than a random $80,000 pair of speakers that I heard at Axpona 2016, I don't think I really want anything different. I'm used to all my music and most of my movies on them. They're a little boomy in the low end, and if that's the worst thing I can say about them, I think I'm doing alright. The TV stand is from Ikea, and its filled with junk. I used to keep the controllers and remotes behind the TV, but that's when I had a 40 inch TV. Now that we have a 55 inch, the remotes and controllers and keyboard sit in front. Inside the stand, I have an old Mac Pro I keep telling myself I want to try setting up an email server on (and never do), a Cellebrite cell phone data transfer machine (I was a service & repair technician for Sprint for a long time), a box with a fake copy of Pink Floyd's Discovery box set (bought on eBay, I could tell it was a fake, seller refunded my money, don't really know what to do with it), a Converse shoebox full of extra controllers, an Xbox 360S, a slim PS2, a PS3 (that's backwards compatible with PS2 and plays SACD, just ran out of HDMI ports), and a few other accessories.

With the help of my enthusiast Mrs we reorganize her audio rack cables, both power and signal. Her 7.3 system sounds marvelous! Yes, theres an odd number of subs so we found that stacking two of them together makes them sound as one more powerful sub. This is a large room IMO. 18’ X 21’ X 9’ Almost ready for Christmas! 🎅

Not yet but being right in front of me I dont have it nearly as loud as it potentially can be. I have a Large SVS subwoofer in the rear of the room in back of the couch I let run hot with its duel 12 inch drivers, surprisingly it can keep up with the 3 15's in the Triax even though the Triax is at minimum volume where the SVS is at almost half volume.
