^^^Nice. So you're running two center speakers if I'm not mistaking? Yes I am. They are being driven by a single UPA-1. As you may know, it has two sets of outputs and seems to have plenty of power to drive two Vienna Acoustics Theatro's with no problem, even with significantly intense movie playback. Listening to the system, and given the slightly off-center arrangement back to the seating area, having two really made a difference. The room now gets covered with the dialogue. You can't tell but they are very slightly angled outwards to avoid cancelling each other out and providing that slight spread of sound. I gotta figure out what to do with the one open shelf. I'm pretty sure I won't be adding another audio or video component (I might but my life will be in jeopardy if I do ) so a nice vase can go there or it becomes a small bookcase to hold those novels I haven't read yet. Last thing I am working on is the XDA-1/Denon DVD-CD/Sonus system interconnects. With only one set of unbalanced RCA's for output, but two digital coax + two digital toslink inputs, it looks that if I want to use the XDA as a DAC, I'll bypass the pre-amp section, turn the volume up to MAX and switch within that box and deal with the single output section.

^ Very neat Pete... can barely see a cable. Thanks for sharing. Just a question: Do you find reflections to be a problem off the floor? I like this room! Horizontal cabinets rule... Neat "sound dispersion" on the right... I read more than once that floor reflections are rather natural to the ear (since mankind evolved on the grass plains of West-Africa and his hearing adapted to that... and no, it was much longer ago than 7K year, that bible is just fantasy like all other religion...) and since it's a wooden floor (like we have everywhere in the house), I think that's no problemo at all!

..... mankind evolved on the grass plains of West-Africa and his hearing adapted to that ..... Oh that would explain why, when I was younger, I used to enjoy some grass on the weekends while listening to my Muddy Waters albums.

What a beautiful set up. I really like the color matching. The silver drivers really shine and bring out the trim on the other pieces. Well done. What is the piece of equipment on the carpet on the right? I am guessing a power supply. Will you take a closer shot of your equipment tower?

The item on the floor is a Behringer Feedback Destroyer that I use to EQ the subs with.

I want to say that Sauder makes it, but I can't remember for sure. I picked it up at Target a couple of years ago.

Been moving my gear from 2 racks into 1 to make way for a new TV in my listening room (to keep the SO happy when she 'visits' me upstairs) so here it is... at 400+ pounds ~200Kgs its seriously heavy! From the top down ... just the EMO gear... USP-1, UMC-1, XDA-1, UPA-2, UPA-1 x 3, XPA-5, XPA-1 x 2 (missing in other locations are 2 Mini-X's Also 2 Cable boxes, ATV, Oppo-95, Squeezebox Duet, and on the top/out of view is an Apple Time Capsule and a HTPC case for my Jukebox Server. Its all on rollers so I can move in in and out for changes. The UMC/XPA5 drives the HT in a downstairs room with ERT-8.3's L/R, ERM-6.3 C and ERD-1's for LS/RS, plus and SVS PB13Ultra, plus the UPA-2 drives 2 speakers in the kitchen. Upstairs is Primarily 2 channel and is the XDA/USP/XPA-1's to a pair of Yamaha NS1000M's with the UPA-1's driving future 5 channels C/LS/LR being an ERM6.2, and ERD-1's LS/RS, An old Kilpsch SW15 sub is also available. This looks awesome with all the emo gear. Did you build this rack?

It's made of ikea wooden rack, I can't remember the name, nut from the lumber yard, least that's whe ther have it here in Singapore. Very cheap and easy to change shelf heights, and I put it all on a platform on castors so I can roll it in and out to change things like cable connections etc as its a wiring nightmare behind, well maybe not a nightmare buts it's very busy back there
