As far as sound; if it's anything other than OMG!!! I need to introduce him to an old Asian Doctor that pulled gunk from my ears that could only have been there from birth.

Break in is fine as long as you allow for proper warm up?

Progressive, Awesome bud, congrats they must be sounding amazing after many days of anxiously awaiting their arrival! I must admit I sometimes pull all nighters fiddling with my equipment when it just arrives or when I am in the middle of an exciting diy project.....

well, have done some critical listening to my new xpa-1's yesterday and my initial impressions are great. using the xda-1 as a preamp, the sound is effortless, clean, and dynamic. no clicks, hums, or pops anywhere. dead quiet. by the way, i am using balanced cables which does make a difference regardless of what others say. so far, so good.

Congratulations on the XPA-1s and welcome. I hope you can pull your self away from them. What speakers are you running?

rosso fiorentino speakers from italy. the fiesole monitor. I saw some of their offerings at RMAF this year. I must say they are quite impressive. Please tell me that you opted for the brown leather faux crocodile finish... If I remeber correctly the floorstanders from this manufacturer were $20K+ and employed a super tweeter. The guy in the room laughed when I asked about them- he said "your dog will love these".
