I'm wondering if the new XPR series amps will have the same power button light issue. Hopefully not.

Nope, I'm pretty sure Lonnie confirmed that you will be able to turn all the lights off on the XPR amps.

Hello, I new to the Forums, and new to Emotiva products, so forgive me if someone else already said this, I didn't read all 4 pages to see if this has been used already but wanted to share how well it worked for me. I went to Autozone and purchased some limo tint and used that and it worked perfectly, it is dim enough to see it but still enough light to know the status and it isn't distracting at all, it really is the perfect shade of tint. The tint has a clear backing on it so if you just get some scotch tape and apply it to one side and then pull a corner of the tint, the clear protective backing comes off the tint and it has a adhesive on one side. I cut it to fit the Led status screen of my Xpa-5 as well as the power button and it worked perfectly. I also used it on my Antec cooling fan device for the status Led on those as well. The tint was a little pricey at $12 but there is a lot of tint for the price. It worked for all the components I have that use that super bright blue Led. I would highly reccomend this option.

Well, my first quick fix to this issue was to print some solid back pressure sensitive label stock on our printer at work. I then cut, using a CAD cutting table, a perfect doughnut shaped circle. I then used a Sharpie marker to blacken the edges of the doughnut. Then I took it home, and using a X-acto knife and some fine point tweezers, applied it to the front of the XPA-2. The doughnut goes about 1/16" onto the power button, and about 1/16" onto the front plate.
So what I get now is a VERY dull blue ring around the outside, and a full blue Emotiva symbol in the middle. It's a definite improvement, and much better than before. But it's seriously still too bright when watching movies. Which means I'm eventually going to have to get more aggressive. I already have some tint film that I can try, but if that doesn't work I'm probably going to open it up and make the tape thing happen from the inside.
