I believe that Emo claims that they have protection built into their power amps and subs so they should be plugged direcrtly into the wall. So, if they had double protection of being also plugged into a surge protector at the time, then there is something awfully wrong. The components do not have the tell tail signs of a direct lightening strike. What about the warranty offered by your surge protector. My APC AV H15 offers $1M. Emo will honor warranty work and return your equipment free of shipping costs. Use your alternate choices

There are service manuals here www.hifi-manuals.com/ for most major manufacturers & models. It would be good to have these available for Emotiva.

...Given that not many consumers would have use for this (I certainly would!) then it would be fine by me if the circuit diagrams were either supplied upon request or placed on a web site. Agreed; at least for discontinued products I would think it's shouldn't be too much of an issue. ...What about the warranty offered by your surge protector. My APC AV H15 offers $1M. Emo will honor warranty work and return your equipment free of shipping costs. Use your alternate choices And there is a 3rd option: Home Insurance ;D; I haven't had the courage to contact Monster as I cannot believe ANY company will offer that much money for $80-100 spent. Emo on the other hand has offered to help knowing it was a lightning strike; we'll see how it goes. It seems odd to me that they offer to send modules the may be causing the issues instead of a diagram. It's puzzling to me that so many people are against the idea of included diagrams! Very strange. We can debate the reason, although for me the only plausible one is that someone may put 2+2 together and come up with the actual price.
