As the title suggests this is a review of the DMR-1 after the initial review ( some 8 months of time after the initial review that is ).
Currently the DMR-1 plays anything I throw at it and does it with the same grace as when I first hooked it up 8 months ago. The only issue ran into was that for some reason I could not get the back surround speakers I had just hooked up a week ago to work. Not even in the test signal mode. The LPA-1 runs 5 speakers and the DMR-1 runs the back surrounds. The reason of course is that the 7.1/5.1 switch had to be in the 7.1 position! After moving said switch to the correct position all is well.
Of course, the fact that it has 8! ( instead of the usual 7 ) channel analog inputs for an external source ( blu-ray with built in decoder comes to mind) is just future proofing it really.
