When I started the installation of the update software it was not responsing for a while, but suddenly came back to life. Remembered that I probably should uninstall the UMC-1 update software as it looked the mostly the same from the update guide pictures, only to find out that it was uninstalled! So I guess that while the software were not responding it were uninstallling the old software. Could be worth mentioning in the update guide if that is the case. I'm on Win 7 64 by the way.

I have done many firmware uodates over the years. So far this hasn't gone well. The first module worked. I powered down, started the second load, but when I turned on the UMC-200 the screen is stuck on loading and I can't go on from there. Not the expected response. Is there a way to start again or get back to the old software. Can't stop the loading screen on the pre-amp. Grrrr.

And a firmware release on a Friday night with no one in tech support. Probably not their best idea.

Prior to installing everything I uninstalled the old umc-1 software and the 3.3 USB silicon drivers before I installed the new ones

I can't believe I have to go out and buy a male to male USB cable. When was the last time anyone has seen one of those?
Edit: Oop, was looking at the Bluetooth USB port.
Good thing I didn't have one!

I'm still stuck at loading.. tried the first update.again. it goes about 2 seconds and says successful, but the screen is stuck at loading which is not the behavior described in docs. I went on to the next 2 modules even while screen said loading , but still turned it off in between.. rather than minutes the app reported the firmware updated in about 10 seconds. The 4th module reported fail, and all through the process the screen was stuck at loading. Any ideas from the collective mind here? Thanks

not sure I understand the sequence you described above. Can you take that step by step? Thanks. I followed the documentation to the letter, but that method failed.

Power off umc from the back

Find upgrade file and click re program and hit start
A box saying USB comes Up
Power on umc from the back but Leave it as amber
Plug USB cable in and the power on umc
