First heard about this at last year's Comic-com. Can't wait. I'm a big fan of Kaiju movies.

I have to second that! I really liked the movie and big robots fighting monsters is always fun. The brain thing was a nice twist towards the end. Didnt seem like the movie was long and when it hits blue ray I hope that its just as good. Warning if your not into amine or scifi dont go as you might get mad.

This was quite entertaining, Cant wait for the Blu ray release! It's a popcorn flick and if you go in with those expectations you should enjoy. Fantastic special/sound effects! This will be a treat in the home theater room!Passed on the 3D though as I saw a trailer for it in 3D and it didnt look too good. I will not be seeing 3D anymore unless the movie was filmed in 3D. Post converted movies kind of ruin the 3D experience. "Man of Steel" looked awful in 3d! Just awful! (My opinion of course)

The reviews said that this one is really, really good in 3-D. And 3-D IMAX should be off the hook! I'd also like to see Avatar in 3-D, I bet that's a treat!
And what a great movie-making time we live in! I remember when I was kid and reading all the comic books - Spiderman, Daredevil, Hulk, etc. I was wondering how long it would take for our technology to be able to render those comic books realistically. We now have the answer to that question...

Everything today is a sequel, prequel or a rip off of somebody else's ideas with the addition of some golly gee special effects that take movie costs well into the stratosphere. combine that with the 25 million a flick pseudo-superstar, and you have 18 bucks a seat ticket prices... No wonder I wait for most things to hit Redbox first.

I agree with you that the stories nowadays are 2nd rate - 'most everything is a sequel or a prequel. But it cannot be denied that we now have the technology to render comic books that look *real*. And that was pretty much the point I was trying to make...

And still none even come close in 3D quality as Avatar. The 3D in it put you right on Pandora in the woods with them. It was amazing.

I also believe this is one of the first mixed in Dolby Atmos - though you have to find a theater showing it, and make sure you phone and ask because a friend nearly ended up in the wrong theater when he bought tickets. (they were showing it on multiple screens).

I liked Transformers, but I guess I don't understand the appeal of this. I haven't read manga comics though....
