I'm curious if it will just be a cosmetic change or a whole rework?

Probably cosmetics. And I wonder if the original amps could be retro-fitted??

I am guessing more cosmetic than anything. The X series is already a top seller. I don't see any real reason to reinvent the wheel with them. For something different, there is the XPR series.

Just got back from show.
Gen II XPA is more than cosmetic. I listened to Dan talk about it for a while. Upgrade to internal components to bring the family in line with the XPA-1L. $100 price bump.
New trim which was displayed as black and will be available retro for all chassis sizes. New trim is very attractive with bevel on inner and outer edge.

If it looks good I'll probably be ordering new trim for all my stuff then. So, about them pictures...

One thing is for sure, it will not be 32db gain.. I agree. That's the first thing that came to mind. Thanks to Jim and Chuck for the info. I visit the Lounge every day, but apparently missed the mention of the XPA refresh. Definitely looking forward to any pics.

Chuck, Did he say that they would be making any changes to the xpa-1l? I am curious about this as well. In fact, I am curious to see the complete lineup. The refresh slipped past me as well.

Pretty sure Dan said entire XPA lineup is making the transition to Gen II except the XPA-1L that's already there.
Also don't quote me, but I think he said the gain was 29?

Ok. Briefly. The Gen 2 has a new topology and the internals are improved...in too many ways to describe...Dan did a better job at talking than i did listening. The silver trims are optional now...and included. They looked very nice. They are shipping in a few weeks...so start getting worked about them now. Cost increase will be slight. NO XMC news. Sherbourn receiver is a UMC-200 with 80/ch all driven built in. Sounded nice, too. More later, thumbs tired. See my LINK in initial post, Sorry bout FB, it was my only option for nowww
