So I am new to the REW world and am trying to learn about my room response. I am attempting to run some sweep tests with my front speakers and subs at the same time, however, I cannot figure why Im only getting the test tone through the Left or Right front depending on which Im testing. I get no tone through my sub? I have tried different locations on the rear panel of the UMC. But none will run the tone through both at the same time. Any suggestions? I have it (external sound card) currently running into the dvd input analog1. I have tried the crossover on UMC to full or 90 with and without extended bass, and no tone from subs. I have tried all the different sound modes no luck. Would I literally have to run a splitter from my sound card to my front right input and to the input on my sub as well, then say calibrate them both to 75db then run the test? Any help is greatly appreciated, Dustin

Im also wondering if there is a way to do this so that I can use the features of the umc and note the changes. Like using the crossovers and eq while running the test to see if there are changes in the results?

I'm not especially familiar with how REW runs test tones, but if you send a MONO signal into both front inputs on one of the Stereo analog inputs on the UMC, and set those speakers to small, you will be getting bass management and should have output from the sub. This is what you want to be doing if you want to try different options on the UMC and see what they do. If the front speakers are set to large there will be no output from the sub; likewise if you use direct mode (which has no bass management), or use the Analog Direct inputs, you won't have any bass management, and so no output from the sub. The UMC doesn't have a MONO mode, so, if REW won't do a mono output, you will have to attach a stereo-to-dual-RCA adapter to the output of your sound card, then attach the active RCA output channel from that to a splitter, and the splitter to both the left and right stereo inputs on the UMC.
