I've owned several audio fans: Antec, Parasound, and now the Sherbourn. Sherbourn is by far the best. I hope Emotiva keeps this item in it accessories stable. It's a winner.

I took a slew of photos earlier this year during my unboxing and complete disassembly of my first C-12 cooling unit. Here are a couple of photos showing what a revision 2 unit looks like:


Rear panel (note the variable temperature dial and DC input connector)




Front panel power button (note the circular shape versus the elongated shape in geebo's photo)




C-12 cooling performance (revision 2 model tested)

Again, the revision 1 model performs pretty much identical to the revision 2 units, so no worries there. This is an excellent product and I should have bought a fourth unit as a spare before they sold out. Oh well.

Before Sherbourn offered it, it was sold by Rotel as the RKF-100 for a retail price of 400.00 We certainly got a bargain on ours

I personally have both versions and believe the one without the wall wart and possesses both the internal and external sensor is the better of the two.
I feel very strongly about this as having dealt with other types of thermal sensing equipment in the food service industry where Time and Temperature is crucial.
Heat kills in both areas of application.

I was annoyed by how bright the blue light is when the C-12 is on. I put a small sliver of black electric tape over it,and now the button on the front has a faint blue glow around it. The black tape blends right in with the casing and looks invisible.
