I picked up my amps today and now I have them out of the boxes thawing out before I fire them up. Man they were cold. Can't wait, I am quite excited. I will post back after I have spent some time with them.

Congrats!
Definitely let them "thaw" before connecting them to AC and powering them on.
And please post your thoughts once you have had a good listen.

Enjoy and have some fun! Good idea about thawing those amps.
I just received my xpa1's a couple of days ago and they were like ice. I still have not connected them to my system mostly b/c of my limited time, but I would have waited at least a day before I introduced them into my system.
Good luck !!

I know that for most electronics, at least 8-12 hours should suffice for the "thaw" in cold temperature areas. Also, leave them in the box...don't take them out. Leaving them in the box prevents a quick, sharp temperature increase and vastly reduces the possible formation of condensation as they come up to room temperature. C

Cory, I agree although I did think differently about the condensation thinking it would be best to take them out of the boxes.

If you leave them in the box, the temperature increase is much slower, due to the packaging itself. Fast temperature changes create condensation much easier than slow. Kinda the same temperature acclimation that you use to introduce new fish to an aquarium...you know, place the fish in the bag into the aquarium water to let the temperature gradually equalize. C

I always remove them from the box so the condensation evaporates. I won't have time to hook them up tonight, but tomorrow, LOOKOUT!
