Hi, I'm relatively new to hifi audio. I've been reading these boards for the past few months and have learned a lot. I just decided to join.

Thanks. Yeah I have an XPA-2, USP-1, and XDA-1, and some Hsu speakers. I just ordered an XDA-2 through the secret warehouse sale and I should get that in the mail tomorrow. I would like to get some better speakers like tekton enzo's but can't afford them right now.

Some nice equipment you have there. I can say that from experience, too. I think you'll be pleased with the XDA-2 when you get it.

Chesound, Welcome to the Emotiva lounge. I was so sorry to see your team get beat by Florida State in the BCS Championship game. It was very close though. I hear you have a nice horsie racetrack down there in Auburn. I was surprised to see you have such a huge mountain so close. If it ever blows head to 167 and go north as fast a you can! Don't stop at Kent, go at least to 405 and Bellevue or even Belling Ham!

St. Helen's blew is when I was born.

Are you blind? That's Mt Rainier! PS: I was born in Kitsap county, just West of East Bremerton.

I was so sorry to see your team get beat by Florida State in the BCS Championship game. It was very close though. That Auburn is a few time zones away from chesound's home... Sorry, couldn't resist! Though it was a great game! chesound, I'm also in the area (Renton) and recently became an Emo owner just a few months ago. Nice to know there are other enthusiasts in the south Sound area. The only two other Emo owners I know of are up in Lynnwood and Bellevue. Not sure if there's any history of GTGs in the area, but I've tossed around the idea of hosting one at my house one day, which would be a first for me. The only GTG I went to was about two years ago at Vortex Music in Lynnwood, via the Polk forums. There was a Jeff there, not sure if it was the same "jephdood" mentioned earlier in this thread. It'd be cool to meet other music/HT people (Emo owners or not) and talk shop, how we got into this hobby, etc. Of course, assuming everyone's busy schedules allow even a few people to meet up! I have a basement media room that is essentially complete (well, it'll never be 100% complete!), which is proudly powered by multiple Emo's. I have another room that I eventually want to turn into a 2-channel listening area, which could be ideal for people to bring gear over for demoing. So maybe this will light a fire for me to get serious about getting this second room up and running. Sure would beat having all my Rega gear stored away in boxes!
