Chuck's PC app is great, but I still want an Android app, and a list of ALL the codes (so I can program my URC).

I miss Dolby Pro Logic IIz from the UMC-200 for 5.1 with front heights. Or really at this point just do Atmos with 5.1.2 configuration (or 5.1.4/7.1.2 using Zone outputs).

Another nice to have would be the option to plug in a wireless usb stub and not have to futz with wireless bridges for those with no lan cable access at the xmc-1 end of things. This thing runs linux and should be able to support such a connection hardware wise I would have thought.
The other nice to have had would have been a fully balanced line level output for a long run to another room. Guess I'll need to use a line to balanced convertor - just one more thing to have to house and power.

There are only 2 items I would like to see:
1) The iOS/Android apps. 2) The ability to reboot the XMC-1 WITHOUT having to power it off from the rear power switch. Really, how hard would it be to make this an option in the Advanced section options.
Ok, premature. Yeah, what Socketman said:
"Hopefully they will have an app out soon since in my opinion the OSD is too small even on my 60" tv. Fortunately you don't have to use it much."
3) The ability to scale (or predefined sizes) the OSD on screen display. I don't have perfect vision. And no, the solution is not to get a larger screen.

^^^ Or, like a PC, just hold the power button for 5-10 seconds!

No - I was making a suggestion to add the feature

It does work on PC's and Mac's too, and some settop boxes and maybe the PS3. might even work on an oppo

Sorry but I think that this option is already there. Just disable the video standby mode. From the manual: I have the video Standby feature disabled and never had the need to switch off the rear power switch.

This has probably been mentioned* but I would like to be able to apply Dirac to a speaker setup that has my mains and nothing else. It would use the same filters as Dirac applied to all speakers. The reason for this is pretty simple - I can output stereo to my mains only by choosing Reference Stereo mode, but I can't apply Dirac with that setting. I could, in theory, change the Dirac preset to have no sub, but really couldn't be bothered with that.
*about a million times

Now that I have the unit installed and some seat time, I am going to revise my list a bit. In order of priority ...
1) Dirac Full - I realize this is already close to shipping 2) iOS app (and I'm sure the Android folks would appreciate equal time). It does occur to me that a web interface could kill all the birds with one stone (PC, iOS and Android) if a mobile version of the web app was done for phones 3) Little bigger OSD I can actually read. Maybe a choice of 2 or 3 sizes? 4) Direct access to modes, i.e Stereo, Surround, PLII, etc. via remote codes (I'm a Harmony use) 5) A global level trim per speaker preset to permit easy calibrating to reference level (i.e 0 dB on the volume control) and comparing between presets. 6) A way to make trims "sticky" for a given input than always resetting them on an input change or power cycle. 7) Programmable trigger delays - I don't have a problem with my XPA-5, but some might depending on the power amp behavior.
That's about it for stuff that is practical to change via software
I would also suggest consider changing the OLED display color to something either a closer match to "Emo Blue" or a more complimentary contrasting color. The greenish blue is rather ... ugly, frankly.
Great unit in general and the sound & EQ options are aces.

Because if dirac (or any other EQ) is applied it is no longer "reference".

If it starts off as digital I'm not sure what I'm missing (reference stereo isn't just applicable to analogue inputs).

XMC1 XPA1 gen1 x3 LRC Sunfire Cinema Grand Sig rears Panasonic ZT65 Oppo bdp83 Legacy Focus SE Legacy Marquis Center Legacy Phantoms surround Jamo Concert surrounds rear Dual XTZ Sub 3x12
Would like see an option to listen to both subs at the same time in stereo and dual mono to see how they are interacting with each other.

BI-AMP
I believe some of us already asked for Bi-Amping capability, which we believe shouldn't add much cost and relatively easier to add (compared to some other features that is). Sorry I haven't had a chance to read through all pages. But, I believe someone said Emotiva is working on Bi-amping, but just checking if anyone knows if Bi-Amping is already added to the recent firmware. I am thinking either XMC-1 or new upcoming flagship DAC from Emotiva sometime around July. So, it will be great if bi-amping is made by the decision time.
Thanks,

The only thing I want right now is the ability to store 2 Dirac profiles. My room really changes and it makes it difficult.
Cheers Mark

With 26 pages of suggestions, I'm curious if anyone has seen any of them come to fruition?

Thanks, I think you could probably achieve somthing akin to this using the split outputs ie sub for the bass and mains for highs, if you don't need a sub specificly but could also run the subs off the other outputs like XLR or rca or a single and maybe get away with that. I have always been an exponent of actively pre amplifier crossed over setups. I guess it really depends on what your speakers go down to.

With 26 pages of suggestions, I'm curious if anyone has seen any of them come to fruition? I think the $100 dirac upgrade may take precedence to everything goozoo I do know, from talking with some of the technical team @ Emo, that 2.1 is close and has enhancements as well as bug fixes so not everyone is focused on Dirac. I was told 2.1 has direct REW integration (loading REW filter values from a USB drive) along with a step by step tutorial on how to use REW with the XMC. And folks have seen a beta versions of the iOS app, so presumably that's still cooking in the kitchen. My impression is they are trying to get all the bugs squashed and Dirac Full out before taking on too many other projects. Aside from Dirac Full, none of this stuff is a showstopper for most of us. I frankly thought the iPad app was a huge deal before I got the unit (based on my Denon experience and how much I used the DeRemote app). However, after living with the XMC for a couple weeks, I could almost care less about it. The only reason I would still like it is my cabinet has doors with metal screen in them (Salamander Synergy). While the display on the XMC is huge when you change volume or modes and be read from quite a ways away, the black perforated metal in my doors tends to obscure the text such that it is difficult to read. In normal day to day operation, I only select inputs, bump the sub or surround trims, change volume and change modes. Since there are dedicated remote codes for the first 2, that leaves reading the volume level and stepping through the modes. The app would be handy for those 2 items, but that's it. The setup menu doesn't get used that much after initial configuration and tweaking. If they added dedicated remote codes for the various modes so I could program my Harmony remote to discretely select Stereo, Surround, PLX Music & PLX Movie, I really could care less.
