Is it silly that I kind of want one of these to mate with a pair of MMGs (that I also do not have) and a cheap sub for a nice little rig for "fun listening"? Not sure why, but I just think a little system like that would be fun to have.

Are there any changes internally to the gen 2 mini-x or are the changes cosmetic?

Are there any changes internally to the gen 2 mini-x or are the changes cosmetic? The official web page states "adds a few minor circuit refinements" but it doesn't elaborate on that statement. I was looking for more info on that as well.

Sweet!! Looks great, guys. The original mini-X amp was my introduction to Emotiva and separates in general. Coming from an old Denon AVR, the mini-X monkey-slapped me sideways and produced a jaw-dropping thud of surprise. I loved that amp and still think about it from time to time.

I was looking for more info on that as well. I noticed some of the filter capacitors have a gold stripe, versus the Gen1 white stripe. Some of the gold striped caps I've seen on other Emotiva amps (e.g. my XPA-1Ls) are the custom Emotiva Ultra Low ESR type. In any case, the gold strip absolutely makes it sound better.

Well they didn't fix my 2 gripes:
- Only 1 input. I would expect to have at least 2 inputs for say a CD player and something else. - Too long. I've never liked the shape. For something called Mini 15" deep is just way to deep for where I would use something like this. I would prefer 10 x 10 or even smaller.
Just me, but I was hoping they would make these changes. Oh well.

A remote for volume control would be really nice.

I'm sure that this amp sounds great. I love my Pa2-50 and it is very refined and with the right speakers is dynamic in a medium sized room.

Just wondering if anyone thought it was strange that the right speaker outs are on the left side of the amp (looking from the front of the amp, of course). This is different from any other amp I've ever owned. I'm happy with the Gen 1, so I wasn't considering the Gen 2 but was looking to see if that was a mistake on the Gen 1 or deliberate. Looks like it was deliberate, but I don't see why. Perhaps someone can enlighten me.

Nice amp to pair up with a set of UAC-8.2s to grow one's Atmos setup.

Wow, I didn't know this was pending. As a E-Club Member aren't we suppose to get "Early tip-offs and early access before new product launches." Maybe I missed it.

Silly question. Can a powered subwoofer be hooked up to the line outputs of the x-100 and have it's volume be controlled by the knob on the front of the unit.

Not on the first version, and by watching the video I infer than not on V2... It is line level out not variable out.

Nice job by Mr. Andrew on the tutorial (as always). Even sold me.-- I just purchased two Mini-X A100 amps along with 2 pairs of Emotiva UOM-6.2 outdoor speakers today. Both these items were out-of-stock previously. Now both currently in-stock, I pulled the trigger to take advantage of the July 2014 20 percent discount specifically for E-Club Members. I'm sure glad both these products were back in-stock before the sale ends this Thursday. The upgraded Gen 2 cosmetics on the Mini-X A100 was a nice plus... Here is my plan: I'm going to zone a new Mini-X A100 to a pair of new outdoors speakers resulting in music in the garage while tinkering. And, the other Mini-X A100 will be zoned to our screened-in porch resulting in music while I'm working on re-staining our screened-in porch next month. It's not all that bad.-- After the work is completed, I'll be re-filling our 500 gallon hot tub located within our screened-in porch. Hey Mr. Andrew: Have you asked Big Dan for that raise yet?

About an hour ago, the UPS man just delivered to the house my two mini-X 100 Gen2 amps that I ordered during the July 2014 sale.
Just got one mini-X A100 Gen2 out of the box for now and plugged in. The build quality is very nice....
