Thanks, I completely missed that; "page 96" shows up as the 102nd page of the pdf for me as well.

Well, both.... It's page 99 of the PDF, but "page 96" of the numbered pages.... Interesting as well that they've posted the updated user manual now for the 3.0 firmware upgrade - with for example the appendix for REW import/export now included. Ah yes - it's moved ;-) It was page 99 in the manual that was there when I posted it - 2.1, but since then they've updated to the 3.0 manual - page 102.... Anyways - they codes are there :-) and generally, they all seem to work fine.

Do discrete remote codes exist for XMC-1? I really want to be able to quickly switch to reference stereo without having to go through all the menu.

Do discrete remote codes exist for XMC-1? I really want to be able to quickly switch to reference stereo without having to go through all the menu. Unfortunately the answer seems to be ... No. So I contacted Emotiva support, and they send me UMC-1 discrete pronto codes which they claim working on XMC-1, but none of the codes work on my URC MX-780 remote. Is there anyone else here who is using URC remote? Do you experience the same issue?

I use a URC remote, and I will check later this evening or tomorrow. As I recall I am using the UMC-1 codes, but the UMC-1 doesn't have everything the XMC-1 has.

Here is the Pronto IR codes for XMC-1 that I got from Damon at Emotiva, including the discreet codes. He said I can share it. Unfortunately, none of them work for my MX-780, but you should try. Thanks,
I will try those out. Sorry I did not get to anything last night (forgot I had an evening meeting).
How did you input the codes into your MX-780?

I'm sure this has been asked on here, but I didn't want to read through all of the posts. I have a harmony remote. Has the XMC-1 info been sent to logitech?

According to the device compatibility support page on the Logitech website, the answer is yes. Having bought a refurbed Harmony 650 remote last week, I'm looking forward to comparing Logitech's remotes to URC's.

In CCP, open Universal Browser and click the Hex button. Paste the code in the hex editor and use drag button to drag the code to any buttons that you like.

Do discrete remote codes exist for XMC-1? I'm spreading the word, when we asked this question before there was no official response. Now there is and it's good news, though it may take some time to get them into Harmony's database, or rolled into some of the DIY apps. Good news none the less. emotivalounge.proboards.com/post/759343

I need someone else to confirm if the codes work on their remote.

I don't think with the 'MyHarmony' Hub based remotes there's a way to enter Pronto codes, maybe I can play with an older 650 I'm not using, I've seen posts on how to add codes with the old software. I'd like to find out if they work before asking Harmony to add them to their database.

URC REMOTES
Unfortunately there is a lot of variation in terms of what is possible with different models of URC remotes.
Some seem limited to "pick your product from the list"...
Some can use downloadable "modules" which you might find on one of their forums...
And others are fully programmable using a code editor... (The problem there is that they seem to require a special code editor, which only seems to be available to dealers and integrators. If you were to purchase one of their high-end controllers, and "had a good relationship with your dealer", they might be willing to give you a copy - or not.)

OK, Here's my first test with the new codes, limited but successful. I took a Harmony 900 I was not using, to upload codes yourself (without Harmony intervention), you need a remote that uses the 'Harmony' software (not the newer Hub based 'MyHarmony'). I deleted any obsolete devices as well as all of the activities, I then added the XMC-1 as a new device and saved. Then I followed the procedure in the first post of this thread on AVS describing uploading Pronto codes to your device. AV Forums Thread On Loading Pronto Codes Into Harmony RemotesThe procedure is not difficult, but there are some hoops, I followed the instruction exactly and it worked. So far I only added a command to directly switch to HDMI1 (not HDMI1 assigned to Input X as you must do now). It worked! I will now start adding all of the inputs and as many other commands as I have time for. I'll then report back here if any don't work. Unfortunately this procedure doesn't work for the MyHarmony remotes, and I don't know of any alternative method that does. If anyone does know of one please post it here and I'll give it a try. Because of aerosuffly's comments I'm doing this to be reasonably certain they work before trying to submit them to Logitec. As far as I know the only way to get the new codes into MyHarmony remotes is through Logitech. Also if anyone knows the correct way to submit codes to Logitech please let me know. Obviously these additional commands are important to me, and I know some of you as well.

I have further entered all of the HDMI and Analog inputs, the XMC-1 reports selecting the proper input each time (there may be a problem with the Analog 2 code - I had to add or remove a space or line feed). I've opened a ticket with Logitech on the how to submit these codes (is this really how it should be done?). I'll keep testing, but for the IR codes and the old Harmony software, so far so good.

Hey Bruce, where did you get the "old" Harmony software? I just received a Harmony 650 on Tuesday and began playing around with it and the MyHarmony software getting familiar with it. Will the "old" Harmony software work with my Harmony 650?

Hey Bruce, where did you get the "old" Harmony software? I just received a Harmony 650 on Tuesday and began playing around with it and the MyHarmony software getting familiar with it. Will the "old" Harmony software work with my Harmony 650? I'm actually not sure on the 650, I set one up for a friend and at the time (about a year ago) I was able to set it up using the older 'Harmony' software already on my laptop. When I setup the 'Ultimate Home' model I have now, it required the newer 'MyHarmony' software. What I've now noticed on the login screen for the Harmony software is a new splash screen that says "Setting up one of these remotes?" and then a list that includes the 600/650/700, go to "MyHarmony.com". I still must use the Harmony software for my 900 so there must be a place to download it. What I'd suggest is to try the 'Routine System Maintenance' link in step 2 of the procedure I link to above, it seems to take you into a web based setup using the old software and accounts. It may take you to a new version of the same thing based on your remote. My laptop now has both versions, and I think you have to install the older one first or it wont install. The old one is called HarmonyRemote.exe. I'll see if I can find the original installation file. I think the key is to get the new codes into the Harmony XMC-1 database, then we'll all have it and won't have to go through this.
