I think the key is to get the new codes into the Harmony XMC-1 database, then we'll all have it and won't have to go through this. Agreed!!! Thanks for putting the time in!!!

Testing continues, once you get good at it, each command takes about two minutes to input and upload (but it's easy to make mistakes). The Analog 2 issue above was a page break, commands falling on breaks have to be cut and pasted to a text editor to remove the break, then cut and pasted from there.
So far in the Pronto complete file (IR) I've successfully tested: Inputs: HDMI 1-8, Coax 1-3, Opitical 1-3, AES/EBU, Balanced, USB, & Rec in (these will help me considerably) Zone 2: Follow Main, Power Toggle (we already had toggle)
What failed was a big one for me: Zone 2 Power On & Power Off (I want these discrete commands!)
At this point I can use my 900 to teach my Ultimate the new commands via IR.
I'll test a few of the Direct Modes next, like Reference that was requested. I hope the IP commands work as well for the App people, and that there's a fix for the Zone 2 problems. I've gotten confirmation that Logitech received my request, but no other contact.

URC REMOTESUnfortunately there is a lot of variation in terms of what is possible with different models of URC remotes. Some seem limited to "pick your product from the list"... Some can use downloadable "modules" which you might find on one of their forums... And others are fully programmable using a code editor... (The problem there is that they seem to require a special code editor, which only seems to be available to dealers and integrators. If you were to purchase one of their high-end controllers, and "had a good relationship with your dealer", they might be willing to give you a copy - or not.) Thea software is called Complete Control Program. URC actually permits dealers to give customers the software, but some dealers do not do it to avoid complaints about not working remotes from customers who do not program the remotes properly, and so that they can charge their customer for installation. My dealer just gave me the software when I bought my URC MX-780. Some people got it by telling their dealer that they have programing experience. Once you have the program, inputing the Pronto codes is easy. You do not have to write any codes. Everything is a button click. But Keith is correct that there is a lot of variable in term of what is possible with different models. In any case, I still want to know if anyone can get the codes working on their URC remotes because none of the codes work on my model, and I do not know if the codes just do not work on this particular model, or that they are not compatible with URC remotes. Maybe Keith or someone here can confirm it for me.

Here's a summary of my testing of the new Pronto IR codes, I'll break it up in 3 posts to make it easier to find what you're looking for. In general everything I tested except some in Zone2 works correctly. There are some duplicate functions from the original remote, but they have different codes, not sure why. The function names are cut and pasted from the original doc.

These from the original remote and already in the Harmony database weren't tested, also didn't test any tuner functions.

The only real problem I found was with Zone 2. The much desired discrete On & Off commands don't work at all. Also, the Zone 2 Mute On command is slightly fatal, that is, when you push it the XMC indicates -95 dB, which is probably equivalent to a mute. However, at that point Zone 2 is hosed. Nothing I tried after that could get Zone 2 to come out of Mute. It still accepted input commands but nothing came out. I had to do a rear panel power off to get out of this. There are duplicate Volume Up and Down commands here that work, don't know why they're needed but there are about a half dozen commands in this new set that are duplicates. The other Zone 2 commands seem to work fine.
Now if I can just get Logitech to respond to my request to upload the commands. Also, maybe someone at Emo might look into the Zone 2 problems.
Now I'm going to try teaching my Harmony Ultimate some of these commands from the 900.

I forwarded the HEX codes to URC Tech Support, and they say that the codes are now under their Code Department. Perhaps, someone from Emotiva can get in touch with them to make things work.

Since virtually all the Pronto codes that were released work in the Harmony (save the Zone 2 On/Off which Keith mentioned has problems), I have to think the problem is with the loading method. I'd think the URC support group should be able to sort it out for you.

I will try to call them later this week. Yes! If the codes work on Harmony, it should work on URC remotes.

Hi,
I'm really new to the XMC-1 (but have already some other emotiva stuff at home) and tried out all Pronto codes posted from aerosuffly. Nearly all codes are working, but not the discrete Power Off (I'm using the current firmware 4.0). So I've put onto a harmony the emotiva codes and learned the Power Off command into the pronto. Now also Power Off seems to work, but it will be fine to have the "regulary" hex code for the pronto.
Thanks Burkhardt

It may not be perfect as I've discussed in the Harmony thread linked above, but I think it's mostly correct. emotivalounge.proboards.com/attachment/download/15141
