Are your speakers toed in for two channel listening? How much are they towed in? Are your main speakers used for HT as well? Do you move them for Two channel music? For a month I've had not toed my speakers at all, perpendicular! Sounds great, but I'll try moving them slowly back out. itll be hard to tell a difference because my of my room and treatments. What are your answers and opinions?? Do Tell!

Mine double as HT but I do not toe because even though the stereo image would be more focused and "deeper" I prefer the wider sound stage, and I have 6 seating positions laid out horizontally in front of the TV.

My home theater mains double as my 2.1 "reference" setup. They are toed in about 10 degrees. If I got rid of my center channel speaker and equipment rack, I know that I could improve my stereo image. But I don't want to have two setups. The setup I have now impresses me enough.

Yes slightly toe in, into a V....This is the way I've done it for the longest time and I think it's the way it will always be..No if, but about it...

I've tried to have them straight facing the back wall but although that opens up the soundstage and increases horizontal dispersion, the sound is a little more muddy and suffers from sidewall+rearwall reflections (despite having sound absorption panels... would be a lot worse without). The axes emanating from my front left & right speakers about 2 feet behind the listening position, precisely exactly at the midpoint of the middle seat. Yes, I have OCD. Maybe I don't and just worry about it. Wait, what if I have a serious case of OCD? Terminal perhaps?

I use a slight toe. Like two inches in but there is not a definitive answer. Experiment and always go with your ears. I have found that the further you can locate your speakers from the front wall has a BIG effect on the sound

I was toeing in, directly pointed at the sweet spot, until serveral of the fine gentlemen here suggested trying other arraingments. Now the speakers are perfectly perpedicular to the back wall, and have been pulled out as far as I can realistically get them. Imaging and details abound!

Mine are pointed slightly outside of my ears, not directly at it. Fantastic sound but boy I tell you what, my speakers are pretty sensitive to toeing in and sound pretty different depending on minute adjustments.

My speakers are toed in according to Dr. Hsu's recommendations. He says point them so the sound crosses slightly in front of the listener. I've tried them at various angles and find that Dr. Hsu's recommendation works the best in terms of having a balanced sound and a very nice soundstage.

Mine were toed in almost till pointing at my ears. But I got my UMC-200 back yesterday (thank you Emotiva tech staff!!!!) and in setting everything up I tried straight ahead. I liked it. Images are not quite a specifically located in space, but depth is better. I do not know if they will stay that way, but for now, I am really enjoying the sound. Most of it is almost certainly having the UMC back and putting the Denon back in storage, but for now, I am perpendicular.

Interesting....mine cross about 1 foot behind my head, per Revel's instructions. Apparently the only "recommendation" is for people to experiment and settle on what sounds best to them.
