Hey guys, I am helping my dad piece together a HT room in his game room. Curious if the fusion would be enough power to let the in wall speakers shine.
Also, if anyone would like to chime in with their impressions of the in wall selection Emotiva has, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: only 5 channels driven

Pop,
My pop is using the 8" ceiling speakers as his surrounds in a 5.1 system with a Sherbourn 8100 and there is plenty of power for quality sound.

5 channels driven...plenty of power. I drive 4ohm speakers in my setup..doesn't break a sweat.

I'm very happy with my UAC 8.2 speakers as well, they are being driven by two channels of the LPA-1 which will give them 225 watts each and they sound amazing and I'm sure I am no where close to the 225 watts on tap haha.

According to Emotiva (I asked before purchasing it) the 8100 delivers 5x80W on 8 Ohm.
I have a 5.0 setup, with full range L/R Front and Surround, no sub and my front speakers are 6 Ohm with low sensitivity (~85dB). The 8100 drives all of this happily.
My room is 17x13x8, with openings to the kitchen and foyer to the sides of the front speakers.

I've powered my system with many amps(too many ) over the last few years and I haven't even comes close to their full output of any of them, unless driving very insensitive speakers in a very large room at ear bleeding levels I'm sure the 8100 would be good enough for most of us haha

What about the in ceiling for all speakers including the LCR? This would be ideal for the setup, but I am a bit hesitant using ceiling mounted speakers for the LCR.

If possible go wall speakers for the LCR, IMO a speaker pointed toward you is better than pointing down and filling the area with sound, I wouldn't have ceilings for my rear and would rather have 2 more stealths or some in walls but my couch is right up against the wall

pop, if there's any desire to go Atmos or Auro-3D now or in the future, do your research carefully. Ceiling mounted speakers (esp. LCR) do not lend themselves well to these formats IMHO. Sure it may "work" but it'll be more of a compromise. There are some ceiling speakers that can be angled. These would work better.

I did listen to some angled ceiling Martin Logan's with the ribbon tweeter and they sounded great. However at $500 a piece that is the whole Emotiva setup for one speaker. I am going to see about clearing more space on the wall. Room is going to be awesome. I will start a project thread here shortly showing the transformation. 100" 2.35.1, JVC X35, and Fusion already ordered
