My MPS-1 vents out the top, unlike some pro audio amps, which have flow through and can be stacked.
I think I should probably leave some space above the MPS-1 in order to permit the hot air to vent out of the rack (it's a 4-post open rack).
Is this necessary?
Should I leave 1u? 2u?
Thanks, all.

Just RTFM on google:
says:
6) Be sure the MPS-1 has adequate ventilation. At least 1 empty rack space above AND below the chassis will allow fresh air to circulate around the unit.
Any comments on this? Is it wise to put two spaces, if I have it?

My mps2 never got warm enough for me to even worry about the ventilation. However with that being said i always leave 1ru between my amps in my rack.

I am not saying this is right but I have had my DMC-1 on top of my MPS-1 since 2006, used every day with zero problems.
