Hi All, I recently set up my new 8100 and the sub output seems very low compared to my old receiver.( I never changed the settings) I have it connected with an rca. The sub is a Paradigm PDR-10. It has a crossover and input level dials crossover has 50-150 settings. . I'm not exactly sure where to set them. The 8100 after the arc set it at 80. The only time I feel like it's producing any lows is at high volumes. Where as my last reciever you could feel and hear the bass at any level. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. My set up: Fronts: Mirage Omni 550's set to large Center: Paradigm CC-170 set to small at 80hz Surrounds: Mirage OS3's set to small at 80hz Sub: Paradigm PDR-10 Thank you, Werty

Dials on the sub should be set to maximum - let the 8100 do the crossover. If you feel the sub is too low bump it up in the setup menu. For home theater use set all of your speakers to 80hz or small.

Thank you for the response. Just so I'm clear. All the way up meaning 50hz or 150hz on the sub.

One more question. What should the setting for the sub be on the 8100?

typically when "small" speaker setting is used. 80hz crossover is employed on the 8100. This is a good start. Most of the time, a final crossover point too.
