Could have one faulty interconnect in your system maybe? While its on, trying gently moving the interconnects. Careful not to remove them.

Check the thread entitled "Help with Hum". I believe it was started by Klinemj. Mark is my BIL and I had a tremendous problem with a hum coming through my system. Ended up being in the amp, UPA - 700, sent back to Emo, had internally problem. Works perfect........and quietly now!! Check my list of tests and see if any of that seems familiar. Best bet might be to send to Emo

I only the amps on, receiver was off, I put a cable from chassis to chassis, running from back of receiver, hum was completely gone, turned off amps, a few hours later turned on receiver which has a trigger cable going to the XPA7, another trigger cable from XPA7 to the XPA200, then checked and boom, hum was back, let me repeat, when I unplug cables from the amps hum goes away, yes something triggered it back...

It's very faint, but it is there, in all 9 channels, the only one not humming is the sub channel, I will keep trying things...

I have the same issue
2 - XPA-100 Klipsch Chorus 1's
I get both hum and hiss.. this is a base level sound it does not increase with volume.. but its always there in the background making it fatiguing.
I have disconnected all everything.. all I have is a 6 feet of 12 gauge speaker wire and the power cord to the amps.. I have the hiss and hum in both amps.. with one on the other off or both on.. I have tried ground lift 1 amp, ground lift both amps, with RCA cables connected and not connected 50 ohm and 75 ohm rca cables, over priced rca cables..
I think the liner design (no gain control) of the XPA-100 and high efficiency horns of the Klipsch equils hum and hiss...
I ordered some power conditioners and some ferrite chokes for the power cords.. I don't know if it will help .. I will post the results

Amps should not produce audible hum thru the speakers
