I have " The One" finally up and running after a few days of ripping out the cave!! I sure hope it's worth it!!! So far I've listened to a few tracks,,,,,,,,it may be a sideways move compared to the XSP-1 / DC-1 combo, but there are less boxes. Pretty straight forward setup with a few problems connecting to my PC, no video or audio yet. ill have more time tomorrow with some listening. Analog sounds just Devine, but then,,,,it always does!!,,,he,,,he,,,he,,,, From here. To here.

Thanks , so far it sounds about like I said, equal to the combo but there are a couple of things I do like. The easy access to the trims are handy. It's cool running even in video ready standby. Thanks for asking about the sound,,,,,,,,I had a small hum/buzz in my towers that I had forgotten about, amazing how our mind can rid bothersome sounds selectively!! It was so very slight but I did send the XSP-1 in to have it checked and they found nothing. Never could track it down, could have been the RCA s instead of having XLRs,,,,,,whatever it was,,,it's gone now!!!
So har I think that the CD-1 sounds a bit better then the Oppo, more listening is required,,,,,,OH! What a shame!!,,,he,,,he,,,he,,,, Not sure if it's the XPS-1 that has my Rega sounding a little brighter then it had. Still need time with the unit. I've owned Yamaha's my whole life and have always learned something new over time,,,,,same with any gear or complex piece of gear!! Shoot!!, ,,,,,that's half the fun,,,,,,and y'all know it!!!

Just plugged in my headphones. All the amps went off!!,,,,I really like this feature!, . Can you change the sound simply?? Not that I've found so far, like to add a little bass, trim won't allow this, shame. Good Seperation and detail though.

Nick! Did you readjust your speaker position especially toe in after installing the XMC-1? Usually it's only a small adjustment but it makes a nice difference!

WYWH 95 db and "The One" s volume number is 15, is this about right? High? Low? See sig to make observations. Any input would help. Thanks,,,,,,,,,really enjoying the CD-1 as well, I almost swear it sounds better then the Oppo,,,,,,,,,,emagination is a curious thing, isn't. it? edit; further observation, bass seems so much more crisp!

OK Nick - HOPEFULLY before the end of April (when the XMC-1 price goes up), I'll take time to come up & hear yours. I'll drag garbulky with me if I have to tie him to the hood! LOL

Boom & gar Glad to have you guys up, I'll cater.
My PC sees the Samsung but does not mirror it. When directly connected. Going through the XMC-1, it doesn't see it at all. Trouble is with a Dell PC running Windows 7. Thanks, I'll be home in an hour.

Sounds like you have the same PC issue I do. The PC behaves different with a switch that a device like a PC. See if you can get your PC to go to sleep/on standby and bring it out of sleep and see it the XMC then shows video from your PC.
dkami712 or bootman can explain why this happens. But if what I suggest works, we are having the same issue. There is a button on my wireless keyboard that I can toggle and it puts my PC to sleep and wakes it up and the video works great.

Nick! Did you readjust your speaker position especially toe in after installing the XMC-1? Usually it's only a small adjustment but it makes a nice difference! I haven't found any reason to adjust the speakers at all. I have a nice wide and engulfing stage that presents the instruments well. i guess my posts aren't very interesting about the XMC BECAUSE BESIDES A LITTLE BUMP IN USER ERROR,,,,,,dang caps,,,,sorry!! i haven't had any problems with it and it sounds great. The bass is very defind and accurate, I thought a little light, until I turned the power back on to one of my XV15se's,,,,,,,gezzzzz, Ya think it made a difference?? Actually, only a bit, I'll now have to dial them down a bit. Downloaded Dirac full and won't get time to play with it till Saturday night or Sunday. I've benn in no rush about this whole thing with the XMC, just a nice stroll down the road of life and life is far to short to rush through it. I lost my sister-in-law last night, shame, I didn't know her very well but her son is like my own though we lived over a thousand miles apart. My heart aches for my nephew so very much! Sorry to bring y'all down but he and I talk a lot about audio and life, he brings me so much joy! The whole experience of Emotiva and now "The One" has been trouble free, as it should, and a great enjoyment. im not sure if I'll keep it yet or sell/set up system #2 with the other gear . my video problem was solved after a fresh look into it, I find most things get fixed after the second time of looking at the problem,,,,,if at first you don't succeed,,,,,blah,,,,,blah,,,,,,
