Atmos set up I’ll be implementing. Still a week from now, I’m setting realistic goals for installation. I may add two wide speakers as well, but I’ll start with this for now. 😁 7.2.4 Speaker Configuration I'm only seeing 7.1.4 here.

OK, I just couldn’t take it anymore! Even the best headphones are no replacement for a good set of amps, DAC & speakers. I’ve resorted to placing those items in the cave until I find a TV. XPR-1s, Mytek Brooklyn and KEF LS50s plus a toslink cable and I’m back enjoying stereo! 😁

But I will shortly. For now it’s fantastic just to improve the sound of the TV. I’ve never done a direct comparison but it should be rather easy to do.

If for one moment you believe a set of headphones can compete with a great pair of speakers there must be something very wrong with you! 😲 They both have a purpose and sound great but whenever the opportunity arises, use a good set of speakers.

Came in today from Ukraine, the Verum 1, I’ve only been able to listen to it via IPAD Pro and it’s smooth sounding and very crisp with a firm but not bloated bass. Once my system gets back up and running I’ll have plenty to review. 👍

We are going hand in hand on this one. Finally got my 6 ceiling speakers installed Tuesday. Also ran 500 ft of CAT6 with 6 lines to the back of my rack, 3 lines to the office, and 3 lines elsewhere. Need to buy me a good switch with at least 12 ports, but probably 16 would be better for future proofing. Having to do some slight wall repair work before installing the new BPVX side surrounds, but almost done. Then to rehang the Led Zeppelin signed guitar. And once that's all done, reworking all the components in the racks. I'm not as far along as I would have hoped, but I am progressing. I will say that I used to find this kind of stuff fun, but not so much anymore. It just gets tiring and feels more like tedious work anymore. Looking forward to when its done and running. Good luck man.

Forgot to say, found out that while your entire speaker spins, in mine the tweeter can spin 360 and then be angled. So I can in fact aim them at the listening position if I want. Mine also have a 3 selection EQ setting to boost, do nothing, or reduce treble output depending on the room.

I’ve forgotten which ceiling speakers you have, sounds like you found what you wanted at you price point. Happy for you! 👍😁 last night we installed all four speakers, I’m thrilled and can’t wait to get my system back up and running! Especially with the new update to my RMC-1. Ill count on the RMC-1 to do all the frequency adjustments for each of my speakers. I’ll even get better once Dirac arrives. Till then I’ll EQ my speakers manually. I found that I’ve been able to be dead on with Dirac by using my ears, it just takes longer! Side note to all, Amazon in wall speaker cable is seriously first rate IMO. Nice thick casing! Another note about the ceiling speakers, I’m older now and I’m not sure how many more years I’ll spend in this home, too many rooms for us pretty soon. The speakers will be staying in the house as I’m sure new owners won’t want four holes in the ceiling. Just as reasonable to leave them as they were only about $500 for all of them. More expensive speakers may have increased SQ by some but their only Atom effect speakers.

Good luck man. I missed this post, LOL. We are both having a Love / Hate relationship with our systems ATM, I didn’t realize. My room is too small for 6 speakers and my larger room has no access to the ceiling as there is a second floor, a divorce would have been in my near term future! LOL. Cave had much easier access to the attic, even though the second floor HAV unit was in the way. BIG PIA. all my gear is in other rooms and I will begin the task of moving it this weekend! If I’m up to it. 🙏 Good luck! 👍🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
