My Xpa5 ......after powering on, all 5 channels display blinks a few seconds and off it goes, what is happening !!! please help anyone, Thanks ^ +1 If status lights are on: Try disconnecting everything from the back except the power cord. Does it still do it? Standard fault finding process, eliminate the possibilities one by one. With everything but the power disconnected, if it doesn't still shut down then chances are you have a short circuit in the input or the output. So I'd disconnect the input sources (interconnects) with the speakers (outputs) connected and try that. If it shuts down then reconnect the inputs (interconnects) and disconnect the speakers, one at a time. The one that doesn't has either a short circuit in the cable or the speaker itself. So I'd then try swapping speaker cables from the one that works to one that doesn't. If the fault follows the cable then it's the cable, if it doesn't then it's the speaker itself. Commonly it's the speaker cable connection at one end, so check them before you go and buy a new speaker cable. It's slow and methodical, but it will isolate the problem. Good luck and let us know how you get on. Cheers Gary
