I was debating on getting an XPA-1 for my center to match my fronts. I couldn't find a seller willing to sell just one, so I went ahead and purchased a brand new XPA-1L. My fronts are Martin Logan Vista's and they require lots of power. My previous amp was the XPA-2 and it clipped everytime the volume level reached 60+ on the UMC-1. A pair of XPA-1's resolved that issue. My center is a Martin Logan Theater I. It was pushed by an Outlaw Audio M2200 M-block rated at 300 watts @ 4 ohms. The emo-q set the level at +10. I replaced that amp with a XPA-1L, ran emo-q, and it set the level at -3. I then put in a movie to test and was blown away by the sound quality and sheer power. I am so glad I didn't had to pay extra for a brand new XPA-1. Highly recommended!

Congrats on your new amp. I am a bit underwhelmed by the pair of Outlaw M2200 amps I have set up in a 2.2 configuration in my den. Why I did not follow my instincts and use my Emotiva UPA-1's there is beyond me. Absolutely no comparison. These people who lump Emotiva and Outlaw together baffle me. So far the preamp I borrowed from Outlaw and the amps have both been really, really lacking. Glad you are enjoying the Emo!

Wait a minute... Grey PouponThat looks yellow to me, not GREY. Do we have some sort of color mismatch problem here? This reminds me of some thread I saw in the Lounge not too long ago..

If you are passing mustard then its definitely poupon sometimes known as baby poop(on) That's funny. In college (UNH) there was a food truck "Carl's" that only upper class men knew the speciL codes for things. For example. A hamburger-little girl Cheeseburger - little guy Cheese fries - snotties Fries no cheese - dry box Condiments were Katchup - on the rag Pickles - sneakers And mustard...wait for it....baby sh** I always got little guy with rag sh** and sneakers lol. He only showed up after 8 pm. He no longer is there (this was in the 90's) rumored to make over a million a year. And only was there during school months. The best when walking home from parties. Back to your regularly scheduled program.
