A little off topic I know.....but All my emotive gear is near new and I have heard there is a break-in period of approx 300hrs. Should I wait until the 300hrs before loading Dirac? TIA Everyone has their own theory on break in but I have never noticed a difference myself, I say enjoy your system from the day you first turn it on and run Dirac

Personally I ca;t say I've ever noticed a significant amount of "break in" on electronics, at least not modern electronics, although it is a reality for mechanical devices - like speakers and headphones.

Not trying to be funny, but I think the XMC/Dirac and all that would be overwhelming for me to pick up on. I just read the posts with trouble shooting and issues and my head spins. Hope you get it figured out! I was addressing mm brother, Its not that difficult,,,,,,,,,most of the time. Thanks so much, I do have it figured out,,,,,,,,,,,n,,o,,w,,,,,,,,he,,,,he,,,,he,,,,,, I guess I just had my brain in the wrong spot! It happens ya know!! What was the cause?

In #1 was actually in #3 and vice versa. I had to use the assistance of another input to get my bearings,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ie; inversely reading the manual,,,,,maybe, or it could be written incorrectly. And maybe sleep deprivation!! and maybe IM STUPID!!!!!!

Sorry, I did not know the XMC was such a complex beast Hey bud,,,,,was this your stab at helping a guy out? Hey - sorry, no, my stab at helping a nice guy out was a couple posts above, but after reading one of the replies I realized I had misunderstood the issue - I thought you were simply dealing with trigger in, out and cables - I had no idea that the processor or its software gives you additional options as well. ?

No problem, the XMC-1 truly is a piece of art. User error sometimes slips in!!
