I had a similar experience with a Pioneer PD-91 I bought used and which didn´t work after shipping. Got a partial refund from the seller. The player could be repaired and that cost even less than the partial refund, so I happened to re-refund the seller. Honesty comes round I guess.

You see it all the time. People not conscious of a camera in the room and must walk in front of it. Just test it out. You will see. Never fails. I always find it amusing when people don't believe I am at a certain event videoing and sure enough, someone walks in front of the camera that is not part of the presentation. Proof I was there after all.

WOW! What a Game! The LSU QB, Burrow is simply outstanding! However, when he runs the ball in the NFL he needs to learn to slide if he wants to last very long. (Too many critical errors by a great Alabama team.)

(Too many critical errors by a great Alabama team.) Agree, it was a heck of a game. Didn't turn out the way I wanted but have to hand it to LSU, they played a good game. If Bama had played the 1st half like they did the 2nd (and there hadn't been that bad one yard line reception call) it may have turned out different. But, LSU did play great.

AMD is got me scratching my head with VEGA GPU vs. Nvidia GPU. But on the their server CPU the Epyc is a big middle finger to Intel. Just love it! And you know Intel has to answer and vice versa. I got tired of the boring versus. This one is getting run. 24 cores anyone? I need these guys to keep pushing what is possible. Makes the toys I might want better later. Right now sporting a Ryzen CPU for my newest computer getting ready to edit some videos I will create just for yucks! Being in I.T. sometimes conjures up some juicy stuff with the sys admins. Ubiquiti Network solutions are hitting it out of the park too. Araknis Network solutions for my rich buddies. Every one I implemented. Bullet proof! Ubiquiti for the rest of us.

Need to amp up my know how to push the old I earned a raise button. Security is saturated in my parts so the creation and the Network side is where I am going. Making my own bit of an IDF closet. Hmm, looks like fun! www.ui.com/products/#default

I'm so damn sick of politics, I could puke. If we the people lie to Congress, we go to jail. They lie to US, they get re-elected. The msm sux
Thanks, had to get that off my chest.
Should I replace my turntable and cassette deck that I rarely us...hmmm. Used quality cassette decks can be found for reasonable prices. Turntables models I once owned, now sell for 2x what I paid brand new 30+ yrs ago- that sux- some weren't that great back then. And have you noticed the number of sellers that think there old crap is a 'Duesenberg' since vinyl has come en vogue. just sayin.

It would seem like a small thing, and frankly should be. But not the case this time. 2 isolated cases. One very bad, one very very very good! The subject is packing. First the Bad. I had posted about an Aiwa FD-660 shipped to me with wasted belts. Okay, no problem. Well, those were only the beginning. The packing was a joke. Some Newspaper and brown wrap like butcher paper and on piece of folded cardboard. The deck was slammed around during shipping and had no chance. The Transport mode control board was split almost in half, and the main input and output board was damaged too. Fractures that hard to see but there, causing nothing but loud static on incoming and barely signal at output. Needless to say this deck is no use to me or anyone at this point. I cannot even sell the parts to trust they will work. The sad part is this was a guy's Dad's machine. Kind of like the KD-85 I restored. That had a happy ending though. So this deck is trash in every step of the word. E waste to the extreme. Luckily I didn't have allot into it so it was a lesson to be learned. You have to really pay attention to packing. Some pack very very well. Some have no business selling anything their packing is so bad. I cut this guy alittle slack because he knew nothing about this kind of machine. 80s and fragile machine, it is not a block of iron. It requires care for shipment. Now the very very very good case. This guy is a Tech, and he packed with foam all around top to bottom, all sides, no bubble wrap or paper to be found. Even a classy Lafayette Receiver box still in excellent condition too to further blow me away. wrapped in tight plastic its finish was well protected too. Needless to say the machine performs flawlessly. The difference in how it is packed is everything. Vintage electronics especially. Poor packing is a choice and not an excuse. So many folks should be banned from selling anything as they are careless in the most of basic parts of service. The safe arrival of the product. I have no compassion really for someone who does this. If you don't know how to pack. Seek a pro. This guy did, he provided basic materials and went from there. It is the difference from a very happy customer with a great product and one that has a dead product who is very unhappy. The choice is easy really.

Bummer.... and I agree entirely.
It seems that some eBay sellers are unwilling to expend any effort on packing - especially if the item doesn't sell for much. (And, of course, I guess some just don't know any better.)
However, that's not the point; if you must, charge more for shipping, or offer professional shipping, and let the buyer decide if it's worth paying for it or not. But there's no excuse to destroy something that someone actually wants through negligence or stupidity.
I've bought many items where the packing and shipping cost more than the purchase price - but the care was still very much appreciated. I've also bought a few hard-to-find items that started out in perfect condition - but arrived damaged due to simple carelessness. There should definitely be a special bad rating for people who can't or won't pack things right.

Why is it... That ALL big bills come due at the end of the year? I just got invoices for:
Professional liability insurance Annual house insurance Insurance for two cars Renewal fees to two professional organizations Increase in medical insurance Quarterly tax payments Additional tax due from 2018 tax payments
And all this on top of the usual Christmas spending and normal expenses. When it rains, it pours!

These cheap Pioneer dual wells especially the CT-W604RS is doing very well. Playing B.B. King's The Thrill is gone and more, the thrill is still there for the almost free price. Stevie Ray Vaughn's Paradise says stay awhile. It is no joke. I have always told people to record on a fine 3 head deck and play on any 2 head after. That still holds true, but these decks after the auto calibration and Dolby S or not, are still hanging in there with my more expensive spreads, but not quite in final dollop of the vibrato of the statrocaster or the whatever, but geez, I am having so much fun, because it cost almost nothing for both decks and still I am just a thrilled. Proves lots of money isn't always the answer. Or least doesn't have too.
Bring on the secret 4.00 a bottles of wine that taste better than they have a right too, and you get it. You can buy more and pay more, does it mean you always have too? Your call.

Is Monster (as in Monster Cable and other products) suddenly dead? I just saw something saying it is, but still not sure.
