Is Monster (as in Monster Cable and other products) suddenly dead? I just saw something saying it is, but still not sure. Mark I saw something also. Haven’t paid attention to them in years.

I saw Elvis Costello and the Imposters Tuesday evening at the Taft Theater in Cincinnatti with my mother, my wife, and my daughter. An enjoyable time.

Just saw “Ford vs Ferrari”, and it didn’t disappoint. Probably one of the best movies I’ve seen in years

I just updated the map of my home network. Wow - it's really complex! Cable modem to a centrally located router to various locations, including switch #1, switch #2, some wallports (via some other wall ports), another switch from 1 of the wall ports, and lots of devices from all the switches and wall ports! No wonder I need a map.

I got a great idea for a Christmas present for my wife, a Peloton exercise bike. After watching the late night news, I changed my mind and decided to buy her two My Pillows so she can just rest in the afternoon and forget the bike. I saved about $1940. The two pillows were $60 at Costco!

God Bless AmericaArmy Captain Luis Avila, who was severely wounded by a bomb in 2011 in Afghanistan, moved President Trump with a stirring rendition of "God Bless America" at Monday's Armed Forces Welcome Ceremony. www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2019/09/30/donald-trump-luis-avila-wounded-veteran-orig.cnnAvila was severely wounded by an improvised explosive device (IED) in Afghanistan in 2011. He lost his left leg, suffered two strokes and two heart attacks, as well as anoxic brain damage that has left him paralyzed. Music therapy has been “a crucial rehabilitation tool” for Avila’s healing process. (There is suppose to be a video in this post. I can't see it, hopefully you can see it. Lately this happens a lot with Proboards. When I hit the edit button to attempt to add the video I see it there already, strange, anybody know what the issue is? Thanks. I'll try to add the video in another post below.)

It cured my neck problem from a slip and fall on some ice 2 years ago AND I get a great night sleep.

Simply a severely injured vet singing with the very frail voice he has left God Bless America. What a beautiful video. Yes, the President, Commander In Chief, was there but it was in no way meant to be political. Pretty sad in this day that a vet can't celebrate another vet's very courageous and inspirational singing. Maybe this video won't be deleted. A video celebrating Irving Berlin, the American who wrote God Bless America, first nationally performed in 1938. Here performed by a band made up of Israeli blind and disabled musicians.

It cured my neck problem from a slip and fall on some ice 2 years ago AND I get a great night sleep. Right on! If folks here saw the outrage after the Peloton ad was first on TV as being sexist, they'll understand my humor. I really own My Pillows, 6 of them. I was skeptical at first seeing Mike's TV non-stop ads. We were in Costco several months ago and saw them with a My Pillow display. Nice people and buying direct from Costco is a huge no-brainer, due to their great return policy. Noriko chose the soft pillow and I chose the firm one over the medium firmness, both 18.5" x 28", $30 each. The next morning we were both raving and still are. These are really great pillows at the right price if you avoid any inflated shipping and handling charges. Since then I bought 4 more at Fred Meyer (Kroger) supermarket marked down from $33 to a super price of $19 each. They are a slightly smaller standard medium firm pillows, 18.5 x 26". Two for Noriko and her sofa where she watches TV and naps. Two for me in the large recliner. We love all 6 of these pillows. The design is so much better than our other foam, etc pillows.

The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio currently holds the 12.9 mile lap record at Nürburgring, Germany with a time of 7:23. It is powered by a 2.9-liter, twin-turbo V6 Ferrari derived engine. It develops 510 HP and 443 lb-ft of torque. 0-60 mph in 3.7 secs and 191 mph top speed. It attained 176 mph at Nurburgring on the Dottinger Hohe straight. German ZF 8 speed transmission specially programmed by Alfa, 100 milliseconds shifting, paddle shifters and faster than a driver can shift manually (same as in my AR Giulia Q4 ). Here is a special green neon paint job QV for a movie production. Wow, aspetto super cool ! DYohn might be interested to know that a prototype model S Tesla with race compound tires (slight cheating, shame on Elon!) in an informal trial run at Nurburgring hit 7:23. Very Impressive! (Note: Driver in video at Nurburging is using paddle shifters just like in my Giulia, ultra fast! That is why I make it down to the supermarket and back so fast! I wear my $11.99 Walmart watch.) (See link for video if not shown below .......... www.alfaromeousa.com/cars/giulia/quadrifoglio ... scroll down Alfa page to THE GREEN HELL page with video arrow, 8:08.) www.alfaromeousa.com/cars/giulia/quadrifoglio$11.99 Sorry, the scratches are from the speed bumps at the supermarket. Noriko's Walmart watch, $8.78 PS: All; her friends think that is a $100 watch. We love Walmart!

WOW! I just listened to these two pieces on my small Emotiva ASM-B3 monitors. They are hooked up to my small Chromebook computer at my desk, no sub. I also have a larger Emotiva ASM-4 monitor w/ Mirage 8" sub on my main computer system, besides my Emotiva main living room system. I am simply blown way by the way my ASM-B3 reproduces the sound of these selections, simply superb!. If you want test out any quality speakers with a demanding musical selection, a duet with piano and cello will be very revealing. The piano and cello are two of the most demanding instruments to give your speakers a true test. Reproduction on the bass and piano are very clean and impressive for such a small ASM-B3 speaker. A high quality source is so important. Testament to the high quality drivers Emotiva uses even in their smaller speakers. Excellent recordings by the Brooklyn Duo.

Had a coworker that had his man card revoked. When he said that his boss drives a Ford Camaro. He was serious and even arguing about it. Needless to say I had a field day with him. Had to. It's me. Unfortunately they terminated him and he is not here anymore. Darn, I was just getting to love what other stuff he would warp out of shape. It was very funny!
