Does the XPA-7 require a dedicated 20 amp line or can it be powered from a standard 15 amp wall socket?

I am pretty sure a regular circuit is fine, but check with Emotiva to confirm. FYI, at one point I had and XPA-5 and XPA-2 plugged into the same 15 amp circuit as all my other gear and had not issue.

That's good to hear. I'm seriously thinking about selling both of my Adcoms and buying the XPA-7. I'd end up with more power per channel and a warranty. I wonder how much shipping would be for this thing, can't be cheap.

Adcoms are not bad they are very very good. I have owned a all Adcom electronics in the past. Amp, Pre, Tuner and CD. Technology has moved on . I think the Emotiva may actually be the current Adcom bang for the buck

I have the XPA-7. I love this beast. Great sound for both stereo and HT. Just make sure you have space. It's a big amp.

I have an Adcom GFA 5800 amp serving my two channel stereo setup. Although my other electronics were changed many times, I still have my Adcom amp still going strong even after over 20 years. I did however sent my Adcom amp to local stereo repair facility to tune up twice last 20 years and they replaced few parts to my satisfaction. Adcom is still an excellent amp even comparing to today's offering in similar price point. But it is nice to try out new amps likes of Emotiva amps and others.
